I found this on a website and it was a nice read. Wanted to share it with all of you. Here goes...
"A young American named Simon Moon, studying Zen in the Zendo (Zen school) at the New Old Lompoc House in Lompoc, California, made the mistake of reading Franz Kafka's The Trial. This sinister novel, combined with Zen training, proved too much for poor Simon. He became obsessed, intellectually and emotionally, with the strange parable about the door of the Law which Kafka inserts near the end of his story. Simon found Kafka's fable so disturbing, indeed, that it ruined his meditations, scattered his wits, and distracted him from his study of the Sutras.
Somewhat condensed, Kafka's parable goes as follows:
A man comes to the door of the Law, seeking admittance. The guard refuses to allow him to pass the door, but says that if he waits long enough, maybe, someday in the uncertain future, he might gain admittance. The man waits and waits and grows older; he tries to bribe the guard, who takes his money but still refuses to let him through the door; the man sells all his possessions to get money to offer more bribes, which the guard accepts -- but still does not allow him to enter. The guard always explains, on taking each new bribe, "I only do this so that you will not abandon hope entirely."
Eventually, the man becomes old and ill, and knows that he will soon die. In his last few moments he summons the energy to ask a question that has puzzled him over the years. "I have been told," he says to the guard, "that the Law exists for all. Why the does it happen that, in all the years I have sat here waiting, nobody else has ever come to the door of the Law?"
"This door," the guard says, "has been made only for you. And now I am going to close it forever." And he slams the door as the man dies.
The more Simon brooded on this allegory, or joke, or puzzle, the more he felt that he could never understand Zen until he first understood this strange tale. If the door existed only for that man, why could he not enter? If the builders posted a guard to keep the man out, why did they also leave the door temptingly open? Why did the guard close the previously open door, when the man had become too old to attempt to rush past him and enter? Did the Buddhist doctrine of dharma (law) have anything in common with this parable?
Did the door of the Law represent the Byzantine bureaucracy that exists in virtually every modern government, making the whole story a political satire, such as a minor bureaucrat like Kafka might have devised in his subversive off-duty hours? Or did the Law represent God, as some commentators claim, and, in that case, did Kafka intend to parody religion or to defend its devine Mystery obliquely? Did the guard who took bribes but gave nothing but empty hope in return represent the clergy, or the human intellect in general, always feasting on shadows in the absence of real Final Answers?
Eventually, near breakdown from sheer mental fatigue, Simon went to his roshi (Zen teacher) and told Kafka's story of the man who waited at the door of the Law -- the door that existed only for him but would not admit him, and was closed when death would no longer allow him to enter.
"Please," Simon begged, "explain this Dark Parable to me."
"I will explain it," the roshi said, "if you will follow me into the meditation hall."
Simon followed the teacher to the door of the meditation hall. When they got there, the teacher stepped inside quickly, turned, and slammed the door in Simon's face.
At that moment, Simon experienced Awakening."

well well...
It being Kafka, i do feel tht this is a satire on human society & its laws...
but then again, like everything else, literature too is abt perceptions n dis story is no different.
i guess wat is being portrayed here is that a door exists only for those who seek it.
Doors are made not to let in; but rather to keep out! think abt it, If letting in is all u wntd to do, u wudn't need a door in da first place, wud u?
So, as soon as a door comes in, it means tht entry becomes selective.
The Zen teacher wntd to show Simon how he created the door himself; by seeking it. Man is incapable of comprehending a seamless existence & hence is always looking for dimensions to be scaled & doors to be let in.
The door is the man's creation. A Universe, of Knowledge, boundless & seamless, does not need doors to let people in. It encompasses everything & is limitless. The only one who needs adoor is you since we are the ones who visualise entries & exits...
What if there are no entries or exits? What if everyoneis already included? A door, in this case, will only serve to keep out & the only person it will, is YOU since u created it in the first plc!
but, then again, it being kafka, it cud mean every other thing too on dis planet!!!

you see what you want to see.. so if you seek the door you will eventually find the door but make sure you take the keymaker's help at that coz finding the door is not as important as opening it to let the light suck you in.

i liked the rave reviews for The master key system and ordered it from barns and nobels... they too dont keep the book nor would they get it to the stoe for u.... one has to pre pay for it and it is sent directly to your place. so i've got my copy
i wvwn chwcked on the net and it seems you can download it from this site http://www.lulu.com/content/122584
and i'd comment on the book once i read it for now i must say that HiGheR^AcCeSs and the episode at barnes and nobels did highten my desire to read it.
at present though am reading a book called freakonomics by Steven D Levitt and must say its pretty astonishing what all data collection can do.
the book talks about this harvard economists who won the noble prize in economics just last year... all his works, researches and methodology while he anwers questions like why do drugdealers still stay with there mothers, or what sumo wrestlers or school teachers have in comman... its a hilarious face lift to economics.

The master key system is on the lines of "The science of getting rich" by Wallace D. Wattles. i have this book and purchased the audio too few months back. i did leave the link for download in the off topic section sometime back and i will do it again here for anybody who's interested. i also have e book "know how to be rich" by Dr. Robert Anthony in which he talks about quantum physics:The first key to Knowing How To Be Rich.
Everything in this universe is made up of energy, and these energy packets behave in the most amazing
way!The reason they appear as certain things and arrange themselves into an automobile or a table, for
example, is due to our individual and collective thoughts.
Since we can reduce everything in existence down to sub-atomic particles we need to know what they are
made of since they are the building blocks of everything that has been created and everything that will
ever be created.
Spirit and Mind shapes this energy into physical form.
This energy exists as waves spread out over space and time.
However, - and this is important - only when you exercise the power of observation do these waves
become localized particles at a particular 'time' and 'place'.

I see addition to my to-do book list. I am currently reading the book:
"DMT - The Spirit Molecule"...its about a doctors research on the effect of DMT and their experiences.
I have still not reached the experiences part of the book till now it seems interesting. DMT is actually produced in our body and the doctor suggests that all the extra natural experiences we have in our life is due to the extra release of DMT in our body. Pretty interesting......
