I was in New Year in Goa at 9Bar Fireworks was awesome. Been the same last two times.

I have never been alone on a new year in the last 12 years. You had to be with your parents when you are kid! Dont know about all the people out here but happens in my family and the place I come from but no regrets.

I think I would like to be with my friends on New Year. Say Hi...hug them, wishing them a good new year and then start partying hard. Dancing on 31st midnight kinda lame. You dont even get to say to people you are with!           Discover.Vote.Share() - http://www.beamto.us

hihi nice news, till summer comes I will visit Sri Lanka for the same reason...

About the autobiography of a yogi, the basic and main reason that Yogananda wrote that book is that he wanted to find the relations of the common things between them and unite all those traditions in one as much is that possible to be.A yogi who belive that a christian with a budhist are not diferent because they belive in a diferent religion, there are so much common points ,almost the same truth with other words,we dont have to seperate humananity with such us those religious "signs".
I have been baphtised as an orthodox christian but I am gonna do a budhist marriage in Sri Lanka, then come back to greece and if it is possible do a christian mariage,my vision is to see religions all over the world united and have respect between them each other,is so beautifull yo see that we have so many different traditions to share each other, the is no reason to seperate us,we are all members of that big cosmic body, and love bring us closer.           ~~~~~~~namaskar~~~~~~~~~

Another brilliant one by Carlos Castaneda is
The Teachings Of Don Juan
He goes to mexico and becomes an apprentice of the shamen Don Juan. Who teaches him about the Mysteries of the other side and the spirituality behind peyote and alot of other shamen tools....
Very very crazy and highly recomended

In his first book, The Teachings of Don Juan, published by the University of California Press and for which Carlos Castaneda received his doctorate in Anthropology, we are told: In 1960, as an anthropology student at the University of California, Los Angeles, Carlos Castaneda began collecting information on the medicinal plants used by the Indians of the southwest. Subsequently he met, and became the apprentice of, don Juan, a Yaqui Indian.
From 1968 thru 1999, the following ten books were published. They recount his apprenticeship under don Juan and therewith provide us entrance to the knowledge don Juan passed on to him--knowledge of an ancient system for becoming a "man of knowledge."

So its not fiction.havent read his books, but found this on net.looks interesting.

i saw Motor cycle diaries over the weekend... its a drifter from Che Guevara life... before he took up hard core communism and took part in the Cuban revolution.

Its a brilliant movie, has great photography neat direction and scripting is also good. The movie is in Spanish with English subtitles... has some beautiful shots of Inka valley and other Native American states in the background of a true story well set and told.

now i would be more interested in knowing more about Cuban revolution

and how many of us here believe in communism and how many would favor capitalism.

@ Karma Kola - i know, i know it must have come as a shocker but here am equally shocked too... but guess what am just four hours away from ya so lets meet up bro

@ Hex osirus - the book is really nice ... i finished art of dreaming about two months back and have been eyeing this book since some time now... just that if i read too much of Carlos Castaneda soon i would be posting my reviews on Isra from some remote village in Mexico

i am travelling south india from guru to another...been to auroville already...its nice but very difficult to get into. There are like 30 communities, each doing their own thing (though organised as a whole) but it is impossible to know exactly what until u speak to each of their representatives...also, french is predominant and thats a sure deterrent

the krishnamurthy foundation is much nicer...no entry, no bluff...and the study centre is really well stocked...if u dont know this guy start with "freedom from known"

the theosophical society is again a maze of formalities, but since krishnamurti is their product it should be important

off tomorrow to kanchipuram...the seat of shaivite belief...should be interesting...but more looking to ramana maharshi ashram in thiruvannamalai...he, though from the shaivite lineage, seems to have gone way further, saying one ought to focus on the 'I' to get rid of it...similar though is our man from maharashtra, nisargadutta maharaj, whose "i am that" is self-shattering...will tell more when i visit

one thing though...the spiritual leaders of this place really impress me

@vagator

Dude, the first time i heard of krishnamurthy was in my granddad's house. Some how they knew each other and i was readin on of his books (albeit with pictures ) about the rishi valley school. Admit, than it sounded rather gay to me. But i have come across some books of his and they are superb religious teachers.
Without a doubt, the mysticism and spirituality of india is unparelled.

@Sorceress, psuedonymous

have u read anything from Gabriel garcia Marquez. A colombian writer reputed amongst the best, winner of the Nobel prize for literature. Read his book '100 years of solitude', and its quite lengthy but superb. Very captivating.

Coming back dreams.

Has it happened that you had a dream and you got up not feeling refreshed as would have expected after a tight sleep? Did the dream hamper your sleep?           Discover.Vote.Share() - http://www.beamto.us

search for the book "Aztec Christic Magic" from Samael Aun Weor and read the 8th chapter, there you see the relation between 7 chackras with churches,it is very interesting.
about those you wrote I will think of it alone in home and after my noon meditation try to give you my thoughts about those interesting thoughts you wrote, sorry now I dont have the time I need to analyse it(now use the pc at job), surelly is a very important subject,a dangerous loop wich much meditators are trapped in

sorry about the error on the link, the right one is http://www.gnosiscentral.com/

how to anderstand when you listen to mind and when your heart and soul?
I think that first you have to awake conciousnes, that makes your heart to feel bad when you act with evil way by sending to your mind a message with remorses, the real true pure conciousnes is always guided from heart and soul.
How to awake conciousnes in a few minutes?
try this psychological exercise that I give you here:
start to seperate attention in three things subject(1)object(2)place(3)
1.subject,try to think and always remember esoterically your inner self on the present time(no any other thoughts on future or past, clean mind)dont forget your self anything happens each different second that passes
2.object,do not identify your self with anything around the place, just observe each second in time and space anything that passe without identifying, without forget your self
(your true self)
3.place,think what place is that you are seating or walking or...where excactly you are now, observe each detail you see carefully, and finnaly ask your self, why I am here and what I do?

You must realise and think that your conciousnes is sleeping before you try to awake it.
After that simple exercize your sensetions start to became more sensetive, you see more clear, smell better....thats why you conciousnes is awaken from a deep sleep, but that is only for a while, because when start to thing about what you did yestesrday or what you will do tomorow, the mind is on past or future you loose the present time, and conciousnes is lost again and start to sleep...
Be sure my friend that when you are your conciousnes your mind is clean and then able to listen more easy the heart and soul.
Most of us have done that some times in our lifes when we are alone the time we ask our self "what I Do here and why?"
