am amazed at the thought process which indicates so subtly of what’s going to happen next.

its that feeling of invincibility, the feeling that its not your time to go that gives u this head rush as u get close to any fatal scenario.

Its dream like when it happens specially if u flying off your bike on to the concrete road

I have been contemplating this – all that really matter is the way u make your exit. Say u at the party and meet a whole lot of frens what matter sis how u say see yas to them before leaving for thru out the gig u could be anywhere doing anything but the last moment when the light is on u know where u headed and why.

Just like that Death is an exit and so when the lights come on leave the party graciously with a smile knowing for a fact that u enjoyed it so much for it being the way it was – a fun filled rollercoaster ride

Then again u know that u dying every second… that is considering that u made up of trillions of atoms which form proteins which form cells which form tissue which form organs which eventually forms u. and in about some time each and every of these atoms would be dead and new ones will take there place and it is a new improved brand new u so why hold death to high position.

We don’t cry when our hair fall off… that is if u not balding , the idea was or is to live in the moment and in this moment only this moment counts, nostalgia is a good trip and yes we all have learnt a lot in our past, future holds a whole lot of promises and yes we will get there I just wanna make sure that when I arrive I have a smile and when I leave I have a bigger smile for I will arrive some place else now.

I really enjoyed reading Tibetan book of the Dead – the entire concept of living to the fullest appeals to me specially if I have some good music to listen to and some good books to read some real good food around, so nasty twisted frens and lots of money(am not greedy just wanna be comfy ).

@ Jabba – I bought the Book – Art of Dreaming. Am really enjoying reading about the sorcer… the book to me is very closely related to The tebatan book of the dead for a whole lot thing they talk about are similar.

All of a sudden I find myself probing more in lucid dreaming… I saw waking life again, reading art of dreaming and now talking about Death which is nothing but a passage to some place else

you said that death is subject that we need to think about later on in life, why?
how old are you I am 29 and start think of death seriously before two years, just imagine that one of the reasons I meditate is to prepare my conciousnes for the time I die and be ready to get liberation or choose my next rebirth...

you must read the book of the dead brother
http://deoxy.org/psyexp.htm
visit that link and read or download the psychedelic edition for the book of the dead,

I am just 21. Will become 22 on 25th November

I dont know but I never thought of death and afterlife. Too many things are keeping me busy in this life itself and I kinda dont like the idea of death and the sorrow it brings even though Death is a natural and ultimate process. Also, I have not seen death of anyone close to me yet so maybe I am not prepared to even think of it.

But then...its always nice to know about something new           Discover.Vote.Share() - http://www.beamto.us

@h2so4 if one day you find that the life you are living is a knowledge course on this earth which you chose before arriving on earth and that your existence has been since eternity will you still think DEATH is not worthy of discussing about take it light ......"25th Nov" it is my arrival day too, on this earth .

@Sorceress by the time you finish the book lucidity might become a normal affair of your dream process
and many forgotton dreams will be relived , may be but strangly I did experience many forgotten moments with feelings embedded and am certain it was'nt my trip

DEATH

It is just the liberation of soul AKA conciousness which has been bound on this earth endless time for the soul development purpose and it is not our "HOME" home but is a place we would come to by choice or will be sent to for specific learning .

Situations at all times will be kept specific for each one , THE situations will always be contradictory of what you would like to be ......... i.e. yourself ..... untill we know the universe and feel the cosmic togatherness of all beings we may not be able to understand the passage which is death ........ love for one and for all is one way to do that but there are hard ways too which again will lead to love unconditional for all............. but learning that will not relieve anyone of the karmas one has to go thru but will give a better perception to fulfill them with great or absolute detachment ............ death is a passage to another ongoing real party and discussing the road and how many potholes it has is in no way scary or otherwise ...........

Just felt like adding some lines ideas may differ from me to you to him to her to them .....

peace always

Something more to add on DREAMS.......
Does everyone dream?
Yes. Laboratory studies have shown that we experience our most vivid dreams during a type of sleep called Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep. During REM sleep the brain is very active, the eyes move back and forth rapidly under the lids, and the large muscles of the body are relaxed. REM sleep occurs every 90 - 100 minutes, 3 to 4 times a night, and lasts longer as the night progresses. The final REM period may last as long as 45 minutes. Less vivid dreams occur at other times during the night.

Are dreams in color?
Most dreams are in color, although people may not be aware of it, either because they have difficulty remembering their dreams or because color is such a natural part of visual experience. People who are very aware of color while awake probably notice color more often in their dreams.

Do dreams have meaning?
Although scientists continue to debate this issue, most people who work with their dreams, either by themselves or with others, find that their dreams are very meaningful for them. Dreams are useful in learning more about the dreamer's feelings, thoughts, behavior, motives, and values. Many find that dreams can help them solve problems. Further, artists, writers, and scientists often get creative ideas from dreams..

How can I learn to interpret my dreams?
The most important thing to keep in mind is that your dreams reflect your own underlying thoughts and feelings, and that the people, actions, settings and emotions in your dreams are personal to you. Some dream experts theorize that there are typical or archetypal dreams and dream elements that persist across different persons, cultures, and times. Usually, however, the same image or symbol will have different meanings for different people. For example, an elephant in a dream can mean one thing to a zoo keeper and something quite different to a child whose favorite toy is a stuffed elephant. Therefore, books which give a specific meaning for a specific dream image or symbol (or "dream dictionaries") are not usually helpful. By thinking about what each dream element means to you or reminds you of, by looking for parallels between these associations and what is happening in your waking life, and by being patient and persistent, you can learn to understand your dreams. It can be helpful to keep a dream diary and reflect on many dreams over a long period of time to get the truest picture of your unique dream life.

Is it possible to control dreams?
You often can influence your dreams by giving yourself pre-sleep suggestions. Another method of influencing dreams is called lucid dreaming, in which you are aware you are dreaming while still asleep and in the dream. Sometimes people experience this type of dreaming spontaneously. It is often possible to learn how to increase lucid dreaming, and thereby increase your capacity to affect the course of the dream events as they unfold. Some things are easier than others to control, and indeed complete control is probably never possible. Some professional dream workers question the advisability of trying to control the dream, and encourage learning to enjoy and understand it instead.

So dreaming isn't just dreaming & has a whole lotsa thought process & ownself attached ot it... happy dreaming...

hmm.on that note, life is a dream/illusion say vedantic scriptures (not me! if i KNEW that this world was a dream or an illusion, i wouldnt be sitting here typing up this mesg:))
so sometimes, when u realise its just a dream ure seeing, ure able to wake urself up. but the first step is, ofcourse , to realise that its a dream, and that all u see or experience, is only but a projection of your own mind(an illusion). if u realise and know some day that this world is an illusion(which is a far cry for folks like us), there will be no happiness nor sorrow, fear nor anguish, life nor death...only pure existence, all would be one, there is only oneness n blissful samadhi.

sometimes when in a dream the reality of the dream is more overpowering than the physical reality of this turf we live on and if it was possible to make that perpetual then which one would become the dream and which would be the reality ? happy thinking

Are we a reality of someone else's dream or are we all in a dream reality............................ or what happenes when we wake up from this reality to find it was just a dream .

peace

No fire can burn it, No air can dry it, No razor can cut it, No water can wet it. To remain happy n content in life one must never forget two things. Death n God, people r afraid of death, because its unknown, though the subconscious has the experience of death, time n again saints have proclaimed that death is a beginning of a new life, but because of inexperience n ignorance people fear this natrual transition.

The main reason of experiencing discomfort while thinking of death is the thought of losing ones identity, friends realtives loved ones, music parties, trips, wealth, possesions, or whatever one is attached to. I say it is important to die while one is alive, n that can only liberate n remove misconceptions about death, JEETE JI MARNA.
Friends no power in this universe can save anybody from the fruits of deeds performed. Great saints n incarnation of Gods had to suffer beacuse of their deeds.

Whatever we have done we have to pay for it, n no God can save us, no GOD, its a natrual law n even saints n prophets had to go through it. Understand this first in life, then think about death n dreams, its good to have information n knowledge about various aspects of life n consciousness, but bottom line is be human first, even im trying to achieve it, we face resistance, but lets fight it out, n march with head high with pride of good deeds towards the source.

I always keep a watch on my watch, n my watch is
W-word
A- action
T- thought
C- character
H- health

Well dreams also have forms n kinds, i will speak about it later. Love n light, We all are connected, never forget it, n ya be a conscious performer, not a sleepy performer, perform n experience with full force n will, awake arise n act.

Very nicely written Mrinal. And its true about the exit... the last moments are sweetest?
Tibetan Book of the dead hooked me from the preface by the Dalai Lama.
Oh yeah.. almost forgot to tell you people, I saw the Dalai Lama and heard his sermon about a month ago. He came to the east coast(my college campus actually) and i heard him speak (and some 50,000 others). This man, if i cud call him that is astounding!! I never got to meet him face to face, but the whole collective was so peacefull, felt like i was at a Pink Floyd concert
He spoke about death and life, than he touched upon the role of humanity in this world and after this world, how we should first understand what our job is, whast our purpose. Fanatstic sermon, i just went back home after that to regurgitate what he said.

man o man o man

i am reading the crazyest author ever... Carlos Castaneda.
after doing some ground work on him it come to my knowledge that he has wriiten this book - Art of Dreaming under the influence of Maskalin... tell me about it.

but dont let the above mentioned information excite u, for the book is truly the work of Art and knowledge combined by some one who saw thru most things we consider opaque.
