@sorceress
great link!!why dont you put it on the links session for other members of the forum to join with?

autobiography of a yogi,as I read the book deeper and deeper I find much more common things with myself and help me to love and respect much more the "sacred" and "holy" spirits and put fire in my heart in a way to do more and more meditation...I worry when I think that the book would end one day...

I started reading "the great rebbelion" from the master Samael Aun Weor, one of the most open minded views I have ever seen...some say that Samael was a demon, but I think that is more like angel when I read his wise words...
Do you believe that a demon might come to you with "white angelic clothes" to cover his "dark demonic ones"?
Do you believe that white magic is most dangerous from black magic because under white is hidden and covering the black to come closer more easily to get you in a "spiritual trap"?
please share you light on that questions I really need it,strange things do happen that period in my spiritual life...

@ Gopendra - there is nothing like white or black magic, what i mean these r two forces of will.
White being positive n black being negative . Its all about intention n purpose of a deed.

After certian point in the process of mind control, one attains freedom of will, n they materialise soon.

People using this siddhi in negative n destructive deeds r known as black magician, n noble , holy men or saints use these powers for betterment of the people n humanity. But remember these powers can also be a form of attachment n give resistence to ur ultimate goal.

@psycoactive psybeing
thanks for your light
those you wrote seems to be right brother and I hope that but sometimes I am not sure from wich of those two sideS I pass through ,if I am walking in the right path or not...the sure think is that I follow my heart...god said that dont likes when we are not hot or either cold and we must choose wich side we deserve...
do you know that fanatical christians say that Shiva is a demon, hehe that maken me laugph
other believe that a demon would come to you with angelic cute face to get you in a trap, but as you said this might be a resistance to my ultimate goal...who knows the time will show...

hi all...never posted here and guess its not easy for a new person to enter when so much has gone before, but I wanted to say something which might be relevant...it has turned out a bit long, but hope you can find time to wade thru it...it concerns my view on spirituality...thanks in advance

There are three kinds of pragya (spiritual wisdom) - one gained thru books, one acquired through discussion and debate, and one achieved through experience.

Of these, only the last one will ever do any benefit - for as u can see, I may have read all the Gitas, Qurans and Bibles of the world, but that alone doesnt ensure my spirituality; the second - discourse - is actually a means to distract from the path. Turn on an Ashtha channel and u will see thousands struck in awe over a guy preaching something....how many of them can we say are actually spiritual? It is not surprising to see how this made Marx remark, and justly so, that religion is the opiate of the masses.

Now I am not saying one shouldnt read those books, or indulge in a healthy debate, but if these dont prod one to action, then whats the darn point, and unfortunately, they very rarely do.

Here's why -
There's lots of spirituality out there, but which really tells you how to begin the experience part of it, now! Nice idea, great wisdom, but, ting tong, how I implement it in my life from today? I need a roadmap, well laid-out and explained and someone should help me as I am 'doing' it, not just help me 'think' about something in a more wise way, or make me give a thought to an aspect of life I never saw before. How does that help? What use is knowing without knowing what to practically do with that knowing. That's why, I read these books for what they are, intellectual masturbation - stimulating, makes u think of sex, but nothing like the real experience.

What I do for sex, err, practise is Vipassana. It cuts out the talking and reading, focussing entirely on experiencing the truth through self-observation. Its painful, hell it is unnerving - 10 days of no reading, talking, no even looking at people in the eye, no chanting mantras, rites or ritual, just living with urself and meditating - but as you slowly progress along your own path (through unobtrusive guidance ofcourse), you begin to see something. Funny thing is - u ask questions, and then in that stillness, you answer them, only to ask the next one and then answer it, till guess, there is nothing more to ask.

It may seem small as an idea, even stupid at times - to shift your focus entirely within, to trust yourself to be solely capable of the ultimate greateness, but it is very powerful, atleast far more than any gyan any book can give you, since that wisdom, however little, will have been earned by you through your own efforts, and thats what reallly counts in the end.

I know, its easier to read and discuss spirituality than to do it, but no fruit was ever born without labour, or atleast it didnt taste very good

It also happens to be the same path Buddha walked to his liberation. Btw, Buddha taught 'nothing else' but Vipassana, and though he is one of the Indian saints, he sorta got thown out of the sorority because he refused to answer the question whether God exists by counter-asking, 'how would that answer change your life?', and then adding, 'better that you start earning your liberation through your own efforts'. This also makes, ironically, Sartre his 20th century compatriate, though I find it funny not many really see the point.

I will be going for another course in Igatpuri sometime late Oct, so if any of you feel like joining me, or have any any questions about it, dont hesitate to ask...for course details, check out - dhamma.org

However, this is not the only action-oriented spiritual technique out there...there are many kinds of meditation and yoga (though not the western concept of yoga-reduces-fat kinds), but each requires far more effort than reading a book or talking about it. This honeslty is a waste of time, and the sooner one figures that out, the lesser time is wasted.

my chawanni, hope it helps....and sorry, please carry on with where you were at...will pick up the book soon          helping apple pies take over the world since Damion predicted so

@ Vibhushan - u doing the second course... all the best bro and igatpuri is a good center. have u already registered your self... for i had to do so months in advance then again they say u only get to Vipassana center when u have too.

great selection of words to describe a life altering experiance.

just yesterday i was having a conversation with this senior audio engineer from the Bbay industry who never went to college to study Audio his question was straight - "Mrinal(thats me) how neccessary is it for some one to learn audio from an institute. do u really think it will make any diff to there lives in the long run?"

i guess we all know the answer, education is essential reading books, discussions they all are important. the idea is to probably see things from some one else's point of view coz its only when an issue is approched from all ends will it be truly understood. say in a class when ten guys are asked one question they all will have a diff solution to it. which a lone man sitting in a room misses. its what a lieterate does in five mins a lay man would take an hour to do and hey we all get everything in life but time...

the more i know makes me realise the more i dont know - Catch 22.

the people who know never say and who dont know claim to know it all

i am all... i am him... i am the one coz of whom the world is where it is today and its true.

but do i have to hold me so tight that i suffocate myself.

ok

what am trying to say is that i am supreme now - and its not insecurity but surity.           Dont thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously use your intelligence

No sorceress, it aint my second, its the ninth, and I have been practising Vips, though not regularly, since 92...very soon i'd be ready for the 20-day course, and you can go forever from there...90-day, 6-months, 1-yr...guess eventually u take samadhi

PsyMaya, I could tell u shitloads, but that would draw me back into talkin, wouldnt it...suffice to say that whats the point of talking about a rave when you've never been to one.

As for difficult or easy, it soo depends on you, and ur determination to give it a fair and dedicated trial...u got 10 days to spare and willingness to discover something new thru experience? u got it...pm me specific questions if u like
