wat
Gandhi out of the books... not possible, if he has been replaced by Nehru then it would be a diff issue.
But Gandhi is an intergral part of our fight for freedom and freedom is important to us so Gandhi cannot be out.

@ digene
i agree Morality can not be taught... it needs to be practised and we would admire teachers who could set milestones for the same.
Chanakya taught Koot Niti... that was the need of the hour. Krishna taught Gita in the need of the hour.
@ Charsi
Yes Das Kapital by Karl Marx... it is slow and would not take off some times after all the man was an economist
in the book he talks about how a man should not be allowed to pass on his accumulated wealth to his heirs
this is just one of the things but grabed my attention instantly...
i mean so accumulation of wealth... world would be a diff place.

@ Sorceress.
If u want abook that takes of 'slow' dont look any furtehr than Salman Rashdie - Midnights children !!
The first few pages ( i admit ) killed ME !!!!!!!
@To EVeRYONE !!!!!
I had a really great discussion witha frnd abt the "MIRROR" of life..
how quantum mechanics talks abt a parallel universe...
a complete exact replica of our lives on some unimaginably distanct universe.. like a 'you' and a 'me' doing the exact same thing..
My twin doing teh same thing right now.. typin, thinkin in exactly the same way.. as u read this , just think abt somebody, 'you' doin exactly what u are doin right now!!! Readin this, inhalin , ( scratchin ur butt !! whateverthefcuk!! )at the exact same moment..
makes me feel a lil bit insignificant !!!!

@ Karma
diff mirror like planes all exist here and now
its like we all are in this multiplex with a number of movies going on one is sad another is comedy then another is horror etc we can get up in between one movie and sit for another...
i guess diff planes are described as diff perspectives...
you know at one time u could have a number of things going on in your head and about most questions u usually have more than one answer.
yet another way would be when the mitochondriya in becomes the sun... the ribosomes become planets, ATP becomes light and Cytoplasm becomes the space making each cell that makes u a universe in it self.
the same way our milky way could just be another cell... that makes some thing bigger.

that reminds me of a very neat book called May be May not by Robert Fulghum.
it is an insane book which he has wriiten short essays... one on the significance of names... as in what would the world be like if we did not use names...
Nice read..

@ KC ........ parallel universe do exist as per quantum theories ..........just as we have matter there is antimatter so we have anti earth or maybe we are the anti earth of the earth in another dimension of space and time NOw the stuff that i said about the massive blackholes also somewhere is suggested to be a door to a different universe (all in quantum phy )
since the only thing for getting the theories right is the establishment of the theory of Q physics as in time and space and to find a way to manipulate it .............. einstien has already proved after death i.e. his works do suggest that after one travelles beyond the speed of light the time factor starts to change and we can buy more time for one second of travel which is the first step of time travel as believed ....
NOw going back to the stories and sagas of mahabharata etc. and many ancient chinese stories it suggested long before einstien or quantum that time travel might be possible ......... the only question that intrigues is how the hell they tht of all this shit that scientists try to unearth each day with zillion formulas etc.?
P.S. lot has been the core of discussions with few friends and lot on TV but hey quantum physics rocks big time take the mind ON THE ROCKS , NO SODA PLEASE |

@ Jabba
I woke up and have no idea what u said.. maybe i need substances
Nos eriosuly.. i understand what u mean abt teh ancient vedic teachings being so advanced.. India is rightly called the birthplace of science...
Time travellin is an art mastered by these gurus.. like in the 'autobiography of a yogi' there are many instances when the sages transported their physical self to be in more than one place at a time..

Ok..will try it.. tho i confess i cannot have discussions abt quantum physics, mechanics without being fcuked up on somethin..
Back to teh topic abt books...
Have u guys heard of Albert Camus ?? REad his books ??
What abt art !!! (yes very random shit im puttin up )
Do u guys like "art' like paintings or stuff like that ???
I routinely go to the guggenheim and teh National art gallery to just sit and look around.. NOT as hardcore as im led to belive but its relaxin..especially if ur scored soem maal and then hit it..

the guggenheim...artsy fartsy...
the closest i got to an art gallery was PS2 at MoMA when they used to have the outdoor music events...karma, youre in NYC, you prolly know what im talking about...this was summer 2003 i think
mad professor, richie hawtin some kickass electronic music, outdoors, daytime in the summer....lots of brooklyn brewery fare on offer too...yummy...
as for camus, read the plague...although a bit dark, i did enjoy it and loved how he used the epidemic as a metaphor for so many other things...
i mean the guy did get a nobel prize for literature, i think he deserves to be read.

Ahh dude... Richie Hawtin is a fcukn genius.. he was doing more psychedelic-crazy shit before anyone had even genred the different styles in psytrance...
In fact i heard his new compilation from Minimize to Maximize .. Texas faggot seems pretty borin compared to that
Yea teh museum of mordern art is also crazy.. Actually recently they had somethn like that.... and they had punjabi fare sold outside.. i had some pretty decent bhel and shit, with some nice Thievery Corporation playing around..
As for Camus i have only read ( somewhat) the 'Stranger' and he has some issues.. its liek listenin to TOO much of Portishead.. fcusk with u, amkes u depressed and shit..
Conclusion : Camus is great in small doses !!

hawtin is the shite...i saw him twice in that 24 hour period that i mentioned and both times he killed it...during the day it was at PS2 and then at night he was over at Arc on hubert st. (the legendary club formerly called Vinyl and now shut down)...he was using 2 notebooks, an fx pad, and a 909 synth(hence the name of the album decks, efx and 909) and was ripping the place apart...i managed to get that entire daytime set and still have it on 4 cd's...
his albums under the plastikman moniker have really been nothing short of psychedelia in their own right.
back to the books though..heheh
