yes, i find Bach good too.
Might be lighter than some other authors but thats the beauty of it. He still can convey such profound things in such a simple way.
@sorceress

'naked lunch', if you haven't read it, although a bit abstract is great for a post spliff read.
the book im reading right now is also excellent...'a confederacy of dunces'...hilarious would be an understatement.
im so pissed, there was some news that they were gonna make a movie on it with will ferrell and mos def but apprently the idea fell through...i recommend the book anyway though.

Nice!! Will look up the author..
And also somehow we failed to mention the madd madd author.. Hunter. S. Thompson ( who unfortunately is no longer in this world)
and his seminal piece of writing called
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas!!!
The movie just didnt do justice to that book.. it was great fun to read..

fear and loathing....one of my all time favorites. although i dont think the movie did injustice to the book in any way...depp and del toro as his crackpot lawyer, both just blew me away with their performances...besides im a fan of terry gilliams works - from the monty python movies to 12 monkeys, etc.
i do remember reading about hunter s. thompsons death late last year though...made me incredibly sad.

His works amazed even europeans at that period in time.
Yes, we can safely say that we have listed a great deal of books here which are all necessary to complete one's spiritual education...

i dont get the whole over obsession with spirituality thing - u either get it or you dont, and either way, i dont think you ever really know - so why give a fuck.. anyway..
1984 - damn nice, Huxley is brilliant - my personal favourites have to Tom Robbins and Douglas Adams, but maybe thats just coz i love the Apple. If anyone's looking for a really good current read, Shantaram is a MUST. Dont want to give too much away, but like - guy escapes from prison in Australia - comes to live in Bombay, gets involved in all sortsa shit... they're making a movie on it now with Johnny Depp playing Shantaram - motherfuckers, READ THAT.
ok, just got home from the Satriani concert. fuck, that guy knows how to play guitar.
see ya folks.. rock on n that..
love n weedgies
- fucked in sion. |
