I strongly advice u guys to have a read on the life n works of saint kabir, he definetely descended from the state of supermost consciousness, n i find some of his works absolutely briliant, but its not easy to understand his verses, its better u grab a copy which explains its meanings. Im sure u guys will find peace after reading it.

Kabir has been one of the most outstanding poets we have had in india.

his language... Bihu and a bit of devnagri is a lil diff lingo to understand today it was the language of that time, once u pass that its a smooth sail just like shaksphear(dont know how to spell his name).

he spoke about enrergies, and the present moment.

he praised Lord Krishna in a lot of his writing for he strongly belived that any man could perform magic if he puts his mind to it.

deepak chopra

he is the champ in his own arena.

i have read Quantam Healing and prefect health writen by him.

i like the way he has explained Ayurveda. the three diff body types... Vata, Pitta and Khapha.

his explaination of AMA which accumulates in the body to cause malfunction and the process u wash it off.

there is a small test in Perfect health of about 200 multiple answer questions which if taken well would indicate your body type and what food u should eat to what surrounds suit u the very best.

then there are some 7 principals(another book) that he wrote which is very popular.

the guy in his self does not appeal to me for it does not look as though he practices what he preaches...

so more than him i like the subject of ayurveda... it intrigues me.

i guess the entire science of the same is based on the matabolism rate of a human body.
Vata person would always have a thin frame, would get energy in bursts, always have cold feet and hands, is more prone to catch a cold , tolerated hot weather better than cold ones

Pitta person sweats a whole lot, cant eat apicy food, is more prone to acne, has a healthy frame, has loads of enegy always but is very moody, likes cold and dry climates

Kapha these are the happy people, always cool and calm, energy levels seldom vary, they have a tendency to gain wait, love talking

heard of da aryavaidyasalas in kerala...?
those guys hav treatment 4 nything under da sun...
& lemme admit, they do hav magic hands!!!

P.S.: dis thread has taken the max twists & turns... frm autobiography of a yogi 2 ayurveda!!! awesome...!!!

U guys might kill me. But I find "Hitchhikers Guide to Galaxy", more realistic and philosophical.

Yeah.. been meaning to check the movie out last week. Never materialised.
Its great inter galactic travel and shit.. but come on, its not in the same league.
Different strokes for different folks i guess...

Interesting how my frnd had mentioned to me that he felt the Bible was too full of mythical , hard to believe stuff.. But he's a self confessed 'Paramahansa Yogananda' fan, and has read his book upteen times.
But there are such similar unbelievable stuff goin on there as well. I totally believe the transporting of body and spirit through different dimensions.. But seems a lil dicey that he doesnt find any compunction in believing this, instead of talkin bushes and locusts and stuff.
Maybe its the old 'Wise men of the east' lure whcih makes it seem more possible. Or is it just a rebelling against your own religious orientation ??           ~*** You can tell By the way i use my walk, Im a woman's man, No time to Talk***~

tho not justifying nething, but Gods Message in tht book is the final truth from my point of view

I mean which ither book would u c a message where God says:

"We apologise for the inconvenience".

Its so true!!!!!!

And thx for not killing me.

BTW some gud books wd be:

1> Monk who sold his ferrari,
2> All Ayn Rand books.

They all relate to life better in my perspective.
Two other out of context Book wd be:
1> To kill a mockingbird
2>> Catcher in the Rye.

Nice topic Karma. Keep it up.

Ltsa replies. Sorr again.

@sorceress : U might be talking of Chariots of Fires by Daniken.

And somebody talked about Scietology:

Plz read an article on L. Ron. Hubbard in a wayback issue of RD. And do some googling. U might not find him tht appealing after tht.

Ayn Rand kicks ass. More capitalist oriented than spiritual. Tho she does emphasis on the whole 'me' than 'just one of them'.
But nothing to get u more psyched up than Howard Roark. That was some good shit.

Dont know much abt scientology...
Never got the point.. So are they Agnostic- Star Trek fan's ??

@Mystic Messiah

Ayurveda !! that is so essential today, more than ever before. I wud love to go to a ayurvedic centre and just camp for a week or so.

@ aum how abt the foundation series

isnt that the future might become so

@ scifi for today is tomorrows reality

there are dimensions and any successful manipulation with time and space any day will be a turning point ..........

the sanskrit scriptures/shlokas etc. are still being analysed for the vivid descriptions of people flying etc. mostly German researchers are looking at it ..............

matter can be made to change form and transported as energy but to reaarange matter to same shape is a dicey thing .........

peace n take it light
