AG had it's good sides. It was pretty much porn free, and simple to use. However the "next generation sharing" programs like Direct Connect just work better..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

well i have something to say bout this:
up until now i have d\l a lot of music i admit but i have also bought a lot to give credits to the artists but
1.i have done my cd shpping by knowing what tracks i like and that was by sampeling them through d\l...
2. unfortunatly i dont have enough cash to keep up with my apetetite for trance music

i do believe that especally for trance.
progs like AG do help cause in the trance communitey a lot of ppl feel commited to help the entire trance scene and they do buy what they like even after d\l it and so after the closing of progs like ag i ask u :
1.how are u going to know what to buy?
2. there are a lot of unreleased on albums (all the new stuff) that u cant get in albums for a long while till it comes out?

so to my opinion this will hurt the progression of the entire trance scene...

Audiogalaxy was very good and it gave you the chance to experiment yourself with a lot of kinds of music.
For example when my friend traveller purpose me of the Entheogenic cd i downloaded and saw that i liked it and then went and bought it.
If i hadnt heard it before i wouldnt buy it and i would miss some really chill out music that i like, wouldnt that be a pitty?
How many cd's can someone buy in a month?
3,4,5,10????
Are they all nice cd's?or they are just 3 good tracks in each cd?
Can you spend a whole month with 30 tracks from these 10 cd's that you bought?
1 track for every day?
Audiogalaxy was very good and whoever claims the opposite either doesnt know what he is saying or he is a very very very rich man who buys 100 cd's per month.

AG is dead!
Maybe thats good for the psy-scene maybe not , only Time will tell...

I wanna add the following about RIAA, the organization that is responsible for killing the most popular mp3 sharing tools: Napster and AG:

RIAA didnt closed AG and Napster for money , copyrights issues or artist support.
This is a fight for survival of this Organization and only ! They dont care about fans , artists or even music,
they just care about themselves , about their profit! Its about power and influence in the Global Music Industry! Certain "smart" people are loosing control, power, profit because of the mp3 sharing revolution so they took action again. This wasnt the first time and it will not be the last one. There is war out there people.
You choose from which side you will be. Maybe you dont care at all about this!
But if you realy care there is some nice info in the Link thread of Isratrance about RIAA. Anybody who really cares about music should check and read carefuly. There you shall find the truth about RIAA.

Have a nice day!

I see alot of people bitching about AG, and other p2p sharing progs. How about this. If it was not for Napster, I would have never known what Goa trance was. For most on the group, it is easy to go to a local shop and buy your favorite artist. Me, i have to spend 40 dollars for the local record store to import the music. I like file sharing. And its not like musicians make all the money from album sales. Its the shows that make the flow.

im going to be a bastard on behalf of the file sharing nation. THEYLL NEVER SHUT US DOWN!!!!!!!!

Please oh please point to me ONE psy trance label that is part of RIAA.
I don't think Raja Ram and Eyal are going around in Mercedes Benz.           the greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist....

Luiz you are right , but you know, we must be a little more openminded sometimes. Maybe now RIAA is not your problem , maybe now its the problem of millions or billions other people in this planet who support artists/label part from RIAA(85% percent of the music that comes out is from...guess luiz) . But in the future RIAA or something similar will affect psytrance labels too.. Anyway if you are not interested to know whats RIAA is doing to the Music Industry then it is ok.. as for the others.. check it out !

Have a nice day
