yulik, if u don't want your unreleased trax on AG then don't give them out at all. (especialy not to big hairy people from denmark or Israel)

he he Borris you have a point here... but to tell you the truth I don't give a damn about AG existance or Napster existance... But I do have a certain feel of pleasure to see it go down, not only because of my and other artists unreleased stuff that was there, but also because of what that means for me as I explained earlier...

Some things in life like AG are like heroin, first is wow feeling and then you can't stop and the fun fades away. I like things simple and not too smartass even if it hits you sometimes and not as easy - but it's real and that's life.. Technology has a flip side as well you know and we don't really give a damn about it and we should, b4 is too late

Luiz Pablo if it wasnt for Napster and Audiogalaxy groups like Pots and Bitmonx and Antix wouldnt be known to people at all.
And Safi Connection first became somewhat famous from Audiogalaxy and not from their releases just because they didnt have any releases at all at the time           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

well the established artists will be happy they can just throw together 9 tracks and people will buy them just because of their name. The new artists: they are screwed.
Many times I have met people here in the states that have never heard of psy-trance and I have gone out of my way to write down two or three track names for them to download on AG. Some of them have become trance fans and bought a couple of albums since. This is a sad day for the young artists, I feel that Trance CD sales will go down not up, but who knows?           Both teams played hard

I gotta agree with Yuli on one thing, i can understand it sucks to find out your unreleased tracks are spread all over AG, those are tracks ment for selling and if a complete album is spread on the net before release, it could damage the sale.
But on the other hand i gotta say that AG had a good impact when it came to promoting psytrance for new people.
Ive allways looked on mp3s as promotion, hell even artists themselves download em (and this i know for a fact!)
I cant see many artists getting involved here exept Yuli and maybe some of you are new artists, but in the end Mp3 is a good way to promote yourself, and even I (as many others) got addicted to psytrance because of a mp3 i got a long time ago....that changed alot of my taste and ive buyed alot of records since then, even when the shipping and mailorder prices made it damn expencive...

But heres a simmular case:
when you buy a record of any psytrance or ambient artist you can allmost on every album hear 1 or more lines taken out of movies, and that makes me wonder, does the artists themselves buy the movies they sample from? If they dont well then that shows the true nature of this whole discussion, filmakers also need sales (even if they make up to 100 times the ammount a psytrance artist make, and DiVX, SVCD or VCD sucks as much for them as mp3 does for big artists).
Alot of artists sample from ripped movies, without paying a buck for the samples, or the right to use em.
Try to think about mp3s as promotion for new people, in most cases its not the sales of the records that makes a artist rich, but its all the gigs theyre booked for playing and think of all the people that show up thats never really known what this music style is, but now they do cuz some friend of them dropped em a Infected Mushroom tune trough the internet!
If you like the music then go buy it yes, but I think its ok to download a album you want but cant get cuz its no longer in print, and none knows when the reprint is (Hux FLux - Cryptic Crunch is a good exaple to this, its only available in vinyl and for those without a vinylplayer its simply impossible to get it without gettin either the player or downloading it on the net)
promotion = popularity = more gigs = more money.

Thanx to AG you are well known, and for a good reason..... You make great music, but you dont make any sense in what you're saying.....

Comm'on YULI , you dont really believe it?
If it wasnt for the nonstep Technolegy that gets better with each day, do you really think someone would even know your name in europe, not to speak places like Japan??
Technolegy is good for the development of electronic music!!! You or any other trance artists, and i like to consider myself as one also, none of us are famous like mtv stars...or crap like that,Therfor , no one would know about you if it wasnt for Technolegy....,and we would never be half as famous as we are, unless the great Technolegy that allows you the option to promote yourseld global wide!!
PEACE & KEEP HAVIN' FUN           TOO WIERD TO LIVE, WAY TO RARE TO DIE!

audiogalaxy sux
blt rulez

dr.dre: i personally see no logic in your last message
ag for me is 0 (zero) if not less.
You can always download whatever u want with no connection to ag. This was just hierarched and gathered in one place. And Yuli has all because of himself and of humanity and not because some html pages.

I am kinda happy it went down and never worried about its existance.          I may rise, but I won't shine ...

Ha ha ha Shivas - how laconic

I have one answer to all of you about technology.. I am fuly aware of what technology gives to me / us and well it's great and the possibilities are innumerable. But:--------->

A. I would NEVER thank AG for having gigs or sales, from the simple reason that I am still underground artist. I play in wonderfull events in Israel ( I wish those of you that are not in Israel would see - you would understand the strength of Israeli underground ), right, but all these connections and invitations were done due to quality of music that I do and certain feel that I put in my sets that the owners of these events like ----> and so we become friends and it rolls over... There is not a tiny bit of Napster here, I assure you

B. About new acts that are lost because no AG and artists that aren't promoted.. Well I was travelling the 92/3 season and 94/5 season, there was no AG no Napster and no shit. I have to say I liked very much:

Dance 2 Trance - I Believe in the Power of American Natives
Doof - Double Dragons, Mars Needs Women and more
Art of Trance - Cactus, Octopus, and some more
Total Eclipse - Can't Do That
and many more

All these tunes hadn't have names projected when they were played, but I was enthusiastic enough to find 'em cuz I wanted to have them so please... ppl of spoiled generation

In any case mp3 wont die from the closure of AG and this is only a bit of sense that I try to put here...

Cheer up new shareware is on the way!!!           A man with a "master plan" is often a woman

Its a matter of time for a new terrorist attack!!!
Where are you Osama?????(Who didn't do it of course)

We need an empty plane and after that the RIAA address and the day of the stike will be a bank holiday!!!

The experimental times on music have finished because some F*****G B******S
need more money and power than the one that already have!!
I dont understand how is it possible for the music industry to be more RICH!!!!!!

I hope in the near future people not to be so closeminded about music and not to care about just themselfs.

So what about the sample thing.. Do artists really pay many 4 them?           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."
