Could anyone describe the CompactStick version? Does it have some special artwork outside, ot is it just a regular flash-drive with data files? 10x =) |

Mate... its NOT a free world. We work to live. And artists put in many man hours producing, thats why we SHOULD buy their cds.
'Illegal' downloading says it all... its illegal.
as for the album, top notch. Atmos is a friend of mine and this album has been over 3 years in the making. Its not tech house, but as the album title suggest... its trance in its simple and most beautiful form.
And I know thats what atmos wanted and I think he done a pretty cool job.

i cant wait for this to arrive in my mailbox. Not only will i get great music but also the satisfaction of having actually supported the music that i love by giving money to the cause. Parasitically leeching off of the artist's soul kills the scene. We have to give back in some form, whether it be by buying music, payng for gigs, or organizing non-profit events. if artists cant eat then they cant make music. period.

Hi there!
My Atmos compactstick arrived today. I like it very much, there's a lot of extra stuff on it. I took some pictures, you can take a look.

The compactstick has the follows:
- the 15 tracks in wav format
- 21 high resolution party pictures
- high rez artworks (logos and prints)
- "Into The Groove" sound samples for mixing
- 2 very nice wallpapers in five resolutions
- 7 min video from Samothraki 2003
All in all, this is a very nice package.

What a cool idea!! and nicely executed from the photos.
I'm personally looking forward to checking out the tunes, as theres always a place for atmos.
goodluck with it all

Bakke, if you're reading this, I didn't listen to the CD but I think it's a huge mistake to have the digital release after the CD release and it will get back at you.
People are going to download the digital pirate version and end up not buying the CD.
It's a methodology which belongs to the old world, and not to our day, age and music genre.
Just my 2 cents. |

Thanks Peyote, but this looks more like using a horse and carriage after the car was invented.
It may be a collector's item, but when people want to get where they're going fast, they'll use the car (i.e pirates). |

TiMMY: Im not sure I follow you here.. do you mean we shouldnt release any CDs or no digital files? Both these formats have their own place on the market, and Spiral Trax is fortunate to supply both sides of this customer spectrum.
Pirates will exist no matter what, and I think the comments in this topic have that side of the story pretty covered already...
About the compact stick, we are trying out a new idea for people who actually wants a physical product besides the CD.

What I mean is that you should release the CD and the digital files at the same time, that's all. So people would be able to buy it digitally instead of downloading from pirates (which have their releases instantly). That's all. |

Without knowing the inside details, labels like Tribal Vision and Iboga Records have made distribution deals with Psyshop, and I think this thing with releasing as digital download after the CD, is a means to improve CD-sales.
Again, without knowing the inside details, it looks like practically all the last Iboga Records digital download releases have dominated the Psy-trance charts on Beatport.com - despite the fact that the tracks have been released one month after the CD.
We're getting off-topic here though. Perhaps this was better as a topic on the Trance-forum?

x 2 I enhjoy a nice walk to the highets quality product.
Fastest I drive is popping the tunes on my iPod for a plane flight
Digita downloads are like McDonalds, good to get quickly, but just leave a bad taste in my mouth and most ends up in the trash after taking up my hard drive space
