nice job done by Psymbolic on visuals and deco.
I now officially love Vision Nightclub. Such an interesting 3-dimensional space but the sound kind of bounces around and echoes. Psymbolic took great advantage of the space and I heard many compliments about the many yards of tooling / fabric hung between projector and main screen.
Initialization String and Astral Projection .... wow ... I really really really wanted to hear Derby and I think Astral Projection was mean for running into his set 
but I'm sure we can all forgive them including Derb. |

I find Turbosound setup@Vision as one of the best soundsystems in Chicago. But You have to be on the dancefloor And Yes, Psybolic rocked that place with their visuals and deco. Keep going Troy and Julie |

YOU RIGHT. When we were in the dead center of the dance floor the immersion in the sound was phenomenal. It was beautiful and very very loud. It was just in the upper levels where the sound seemed to scatter and echo.
I noticed you wearing earplugs, I prolly shoulda done the same. Next time. |

Hello People!!
Does Astral have an account here they check for feedback?? It was an amazing night except for the fact that they played only 2 hrs for their premiere night in chicago. Thanks to Damon for posting the pics so promptly.

I think they started around 2am ...I had to leave about 4:15 and they were still rockin' ...I'm guessing they played till the end (5am)?

I think AP played more like 2.5 hours which seems reasonably long. I am not sure how long AP would play before you would consider it enough, famiable!
My own beef was with the dancefloor. There were a hardcore group of dancers who seemed to "get it", but dispersed heavily throughout were droves of standers, talkers, idiots, drunks, preeners, and people inexplicably trying to slowdance to stomp sets.
I felt bad by the number of people I probably elbowed and whacked as I was dancing, but hey they were in the line of fire . . . they never seemed to go away but by around 2:30 a.m. there seemed to be a good place to dance and vibe with others.
I really didn't feel the psy vibe very strong there but it was still fun. Our recent outdoor events have been much better in terms of atmosphere, but I guess in a commercial venue you can't hope for too much. There were just too many people jammed in, too many spectators, and too many who weren't really clear on what was happening.
But I guess that is a compromise I am willing to make to hear the expensive mega-acts in Chicago.
