Alright, I got the point of backstage and chilling before a set or live... but what I don't get it is why don't these people go to the dance floor? yeah maybe their will be more people asking u what gear u use etc... but still its such a nice place to be lolol (could be a sales person, trying to sell a dance floor) that's what I like, I love trance, I love the music so I got to show how much I like it which leads to me dancing... specially in festivals I don't see why an artist does not dance it is such an chill out place.
The only thing that I can see is the dj playing his set, and then going off somewhere even in festivals, and then u see them playing again a day after the festival has ended and where was he/she all the time? I don't know but I was having a briliant time seeing someones live or dj set. Well their are still good examples of djs who do this and dance like crazy monkeys lolol e.g. raja ram and their was also another swedish dj can't remenber his name crazy...

Come on now. If you were at a party every weekend playing as I was for quite a few years then I am sure you wouldn't be on the dancefloor so much.
You tend to forget that there's also something called Airport, travelling, Airport,going to the party. If you had to get up around 6 in the morning to go to an Airport and sit in a flight for maybe 3 - 5 hours and then arrive in a country and go to a party and then wait until you have to play... Then I am quite sure you wouldn't stand on the dancefloor that much simply because you were exausted!
Of course I also go to the dancefloor and have a lot of fun just as many other artists/Dj's. But again it's also a job and you can get very tired.
When you go to a party you go there to have fun and dance. And I am sure most of the time you dont have to get up 6 in the morning to travel to the party

mmm I see your point, but their are also those who travel by bus, I know many who travel 22-30hrs by bus just to go to a festival and when they get their they dance all days.
anyways elysium project if u come to england to play some day I'll be their and I'll persuade u to dance after u finished playing

Kristian Ellissium you are right, Neutron those who travel by bus or hicthhiking to go to a festival they do it a few times a year maximum, not on a weekly basis.
This years Samothraki proved that dj's know how to party, big it up for James Monro,George Barker,Tristan,John Om, Dick Trevor, Atmos, plus many more whom i do not remember now.
Sometimes djs overdo it, i know of a certain dj who got so wasted before his set that he did not want to play and even offered to pay for his flight.

I think its important to have a place to cool down after the set. After a set no matter if it's dj or live, I need a certain time to regain all the energy after the set, and it's done easier in a calm place than in the party zone. But after a little chill out I'm usually back with the people. |

P_Mac was dancing in Skopje before his set. This is the men who dont need VIP room for sure.

I've seen quite a few artist go home within an hour after their set... either to hotels/houses or even a direct flight back... some stay longer, but it's not that common imho

What actually matter is if the Dj's/artists do a good job or a bad job.... All this about artist being in VIP rooms or not is nonsense!

I totally agree. People who are whining about this maybe just haven't had a chance to talk to their idols or something. If you play 1 gig or more per week you surely sometimes just want to go home or stay in a more quiet VIP room, than party all night long.
Not that parties are boring, but too much is too much. |

Except the Germans and the Scandinavian people Tiny Giant who have an addiction on cold Heineken beers.
Man those Haldolium guys and Filip from Ticon can drink up to 30 glasses of beer in one night hehe.
The good thing was that since they were tottally drunk i was free to deal with all the groopies in the room LOL
