this is one thought on muh mind....been there for quite a while but never actually voiced out.... 
it goes like this....we talk about peace n et all on the forum....we write the PLUR thingey below the post....even if we know we are writing stuff thats bound to offend sum1 else,and then again if sum1 else writes sumthing against our view or contradicts it......dont we all feel a bit uncomfortable sumwhere inside....?
For those of the ppl who dont feel any of this,guys u've attained NIRVAANA....others tell me what you have to say........
I know i have tried to say sumthing that might offend......it was just a passing thought.....or mebbe you are 'the' trance ppl n i m just a new kid on the block....just may be....

It is not bad to say ur opinion as long u stay on a friendly level of conversation.
The other way, always agreeing, is bad, coz so there is no development.

Silent egoists. People that talk about peace and love but all they actually do is go to parties, listen to music and do drugs ARE NOT DOING SHIT OTHER THAN ENJOYING THEMSELVES. Stop lying to yourself if you think otherwise. I don't see one way in which a psytrance party promoted anything other than a wannabe-spiritual ideology to make the use of hallucinogenic drugs seem moral.
Psytrance parties nowadays are an excuse for hedonism - not that I have any problem with hedonism, I have a problem with people hiding behind excuses.

regarding your point on people not accepting other's opinions... well, let me go into a few technical things about that in forum systems:
1. many times a written word can look harsher or meaner then the same one verbally spoken by someone with a tonation to stress he is not 100% serious about it. facial expressions are absent and interpetations can potentially veer off.
2. who we are talking to- perhaps the person who responds has personal reasons to feel the way they do? we dont know that behind the nickname many times, we dont know what this person went thrugh to reach their opinion on whatever subject and we do not know their previous biases.
3. forum mentality - it takes people time to develop the skills to properly discuss issues on an intelligent level in forums... its not like talking in the street or at your home with friends.
4. language - not everyone has english as their native tongue.... some expressions are poorly translated and can come across as aggrevating to others without that original intent..
and these are all things to think about before even going into the actual topic at hand

I think if you start judging a whole group of ppl with stereotype... well isn't that double foolish, and a classic move to start discordia. Ppl are who they are. Some where born for hedonism, some to protest, some to celebrate, some to kill, and very few to become enlightened and transcend. Peace starts from oneself. |

ha ha, kaz, you sound like a bitter old man! i imagine you're too young to be a bitter old man yet
i've never needed an excuse to be hedonistic. in fact, if you need an excuse, is it really hedonism?
part of hedonism is saying "fuckit, i do what i want, don't need no excuse"
i've never felt like a party i've been to has promoted any ideology, either.
of course, i'm pretty good at tuning out ideologies. sometimes i make a little hat out of tinfoil to help with this process. (shh! stop whispering!)
