Because if you use only legal softs, than probably something happened to the share programs and then we both will buy original!

I bet that you (90% of the artists, even me and my rock band) will always download softZ, movies and music as long as you have the stuff to do it.

I am sorry but you live in a fairytale land mate...
There's no logic in saying that if artists use legal versions of their software then people will stop ripping CD's and download illegal mp3's...
I dont get your way of thinking at all!

Believe me I rarely get booked as Elysium Project (Live) simply because I dont make fast music or music that sound like other bands (many organisers have said they love my music but it's too slow (133 bpm) and that they rather play on the bands that make faster music)... But that's cool anyway since I am changing to deephouse/progressive (where there's a much more openminded attitude about individuality) and dont want to be known as an atists anymore as a part of the psy/goa scene 
I have never said that mp3's are bad as a promotion tool... It's very good for promotion... But it does not change the fact that some people have no moral left in their bones... They are spoiled brats that couldn't care less if their favourite artists go bust because of bad sales... as long as they can get free music!

I guess we get used to these sharing programs...
if someone will take it from us, we (ARTISTS AND CUSTOMERS) will have such a big hole.
If you have a car and you got used to drive all the time, you know it will be fucking and I mean really fucking hard without it, and so with the program shares!
So you must think about other way to sell music, because these share programs will be online for long if not forever...
Btw- I'm sure 100% that most of the artists here would never know how to make electronic music without illegal softz...

Mike, This is not the same as listening at home or in the car...
Mp3(s) make lots of promotion to the artists.
and I do buy originals from artists I know they have the touch I like!
I will never buy new artists cds without listen to their music at home because I need the money as well as they need if not much more because I need to buy new guitar
And there are too much cds in the store... and too much peoples want to listen to cds and only two headphones...
this is not an excuse!!! I admit, I'm really into illegal music And soft since I like it this way! and it is really easy and much comfortable! (what can I do??, I'm addicted ) |

Ok I'm going to a restaurant, and I'm ordering this nice meal. In the end I decide that it's not my taste and I leave without paying.
There is something wrong with this.

Anyway, yes I download music as well. But for every album I download, I buy 2. I doubt that you buy even 1 for 20 albums downloaded..
