Artists that think they are getting a rough deal by not getting so much money should pack it in and get a real job like office cleaning or something, yes?

Sorry for my French but that's utterly crap. It's the same as saying that "Hey you want to be an architect but go and clean some offices instead"!

If an artist is talented and burn passionately to make music as a living then he or she should be allowed to do that and indeed paid for the music that he or she release... Of course some people should never have been artists in the first place because the simply live in a dream and aren't that talented (hint = amatures)

BUT if an artists is talented and people love the music but just don't bother to download it because it's cheaper and easier to rip it then it's not the artists fault - It's the people ripping off the music that are wrong !

It's the same as saying: "yeah go an be an architect but we wont pay you - if you want to be paid get a cleaning job"

It's exactly your attitude that bind the artists to the old overused cliché that artists aren't allowed to make money out of "art" - They should be starving or shut up and get a "real" job.... again excuse my Freanch but what a loat of c***

i got my software from illegal crackergroups but i buy my music. ??
something most be wrong here...hmmm
the product calling "track" is not only a product of the equitment and software (otherwise we had only the Artists "Steinberg" "Logic" and "Ohmboys" etc. ) its also the -Work- using the Artist knowlegdes. So if the equitment wont be payed why also not this?

All this discussion about getting a license to steal music is like talking about getting a license to go on party without paying the entrance. "yeah, we went trough the forest so we could get to the floor without any need to pay 5 dollars for this party." but maybe its ok, because the organizer has not payed the official event-licence to the local administration - and his stress and trouble with his heart and vision to make this party FOR U AND ME has no aspect legitimation now. But he organizes this party for you and you go there but you are only able to take, but not to give. this point of view is only sad, nothing more. Why should all the artist make music for such people with such opinions? Because they do it with his heart, to sit there and try to make a nice groove for some nice moments! But in our society the people just trying to take away their own identity because they search for way to get as much as they can without giving anything back.

anyway i completly agree with Elysium!

Really f*ckin' simple:

If you are making money by selling your music, you shall also contribute to the ones that make your music-tools, i.e software-comapnies (or synthmanufacturer e.t.c).

It's called logic, it will help you!

There are some really naive comments here.

Artists that have millions of pounds, have the original copies of the software that they are using. Their studios are professional, registered facilities and are subject to control from goverment authorities. They will not risk getting shut down for a few thousand pounds.
Anyway, if you have a million quid, the money it costs to set up a software or hardware studio is peanuts.

No trance artist has made millions of pounds from selling records/playing gigs.

99% of the trance artists that live it big, where born rich.

The main reason a lot of artists are finding it hard to make a living out from what it is they love doing, is little babies that download tracks, like the ones that write in this thread.
This thread is sad and a PATHETIC attempt to justify your immature ways.
There are NO EXCUSES for STEALING other people's work.
If you wanna keep your self safe from buying crap music, head down your local record store and have a listen.
Support your local record store!
If you do not have one, there are samples of every tune that comes out on the internet sites as well. Have a listen and "keep your self safe"

There are also demo versions of pretty much every single audio related software for you to use, or 30 day trials of that software with every single feature. Hence you "keep your self safe" in that matter as well.

A message to the users that suggested that it is ok to steal stuff:
Be good kids and ask your mom or your dad/guardian to increase the weekly amount of money they give to you... Judging from your posts, you are a bunch of cry babies. Go out side and play with your friends, or go fly a kite. It will help you grow up and deal with life in a more honest way.

For people that are adults and sit in front of their computer for hours and download music, I can only say that you are suffering from the "Small Man Syndrome"... Get a job, get a life.

To the DJs that play mp3s out:
YOU ARE A DISGRACE.
If the artists/labels wanted you to have their unreleased music, they would have given it/send it in your post them selves.
You are also disrespecting the music, by not playing it at its highest quality format.
You are small people that can only big them selves up by doing something as shamefull as this.

Could not agree more VCO.

Nice to see someone say what they think instead of being afraid that the wolfpack will attack them in this forum

WELL WELL WELL

Here you go with some answer to your face baby:

I would buy! you know why?

Because if you use only legal softs, than probably something happened to the share programs and then we both will buy original!

Come to reallity mate.
I bet that you (90% of the artists, even me and my rock band) will always download softZ, movies and music as long as you have the stuff to do it.

I am sorry but you live in a fairytale land mate...

There's no logic in saying that if artists use legal versions of their software then people will stop ripping CD's and download illegal mp3's...

I dont get your way of thinking at all!

Stop crying about shares... do you really believe you can change someone while you tell him to buy originals in forum?

People need to think about some creative way to sell music...

Btw - I would never know about you "Bizzare Contact" "Elysium Project" without share programs , sounds bad? well think about that some organizers would never book you without the sharing programs you hate so much...

Peace buddy
