Am I the only one who HATES late parties?

Weekends are ok i guess but some of us work day jobs during the week. If you decide to come to town on a weeknight and the organizer doesnt start the party until 10 pm, well maybe I can go for a few hours.
But then all of a sudden you're not going on until 3 or 4 am, guess what. Im leaving and not coming back to one of your parties. What the hell is the reason for this? Christ it gets dark early enough, what's the point of this EVERY SINGLE party.
Maybe Im too old but I don't like forcing myself to stay up till 6 or 7 am and then blowing the entire next day just trying to catch up on sleep.
No wonder people do drugs at parties.

you can leave a party before its over you know....

My friend our problem in my country is the next one.
Partys stop about 8 in the morning and this is problem because is so early.
and you complain about this.

I think he is talking about parties during the week and not weekends yeah? if so I think u shouldnt be in any party if you gotta work the next morning...

Yes that's what Im talkig about.
It's annoying because most of the time the first 3 hours of the show is some warmup DJs you dont even want to hear.
I don't know why EVERY other genre of music can put on concerts and shows at reasonable hours but electronic music can't. Maybe because electronic is more geared towanrd drugs.

on weekdays maybe, but most people party on weekends, and most parties end early (6-7am) not late. And as someone else said, you shouldn't party if you have (serious) work the next day, and if you dont have work the next day, the party should go on as late as possible.
OT : their is just as much drug use in other musical genres(rock ,pop) just (usually) different drugs of choice. We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. |

OT:I wouldn't compare alcohol to ecstasy either, Alcohol has far more serious negative effects and causes way more violence and related death to be even considered in the same light as ecstasy. But this is a whole other story(sorry for the retarded editing on my behalf btw). For some people its more convenient to party early, for others late, really no point in discussing anything here.

I am playing this Saturday @ Sonar from 3AM to 4AM. I am also playing @ Sonar on an all psy trance party on May 28th  There is also something happening in June. I will also play after the Analog Pussy event in Sonar... All in the weekend. So no complaining I hope he he. We did one in May 1st @ X-it and it went til 4am... all psy on a Friday. Actually there are no parties during the week anymore he he |

I personaly cant remember when was the last time as matter a fact i cant remember the first time i went to a eletronic music party during the week and knowing i had to work next day. that is just crazy man they already take its toll on me during wknds, my advice is hit the happy hours man drink a bit with a few mates once or twice a week and have ur energies for a good wknd party.

That's good to hear but Im not bitching about your events. You guys do what you can, after all.
Im talking about the major acts that come down here ( cough* IM *cough). Last show I saw them atthey had some crap Dj play all nite and they didnt end up going on until like 4 or 5 am,, a shame when they so rarley come here. I had to leave before they even went on.

Hi...
At Santos (My home town) some clubs have some week projects (for exemple: every thursday) and if I realy want to be there I just go (doesn't matter what time the artist will play) and enjoy the party without drugs, becouse I have to work Friday and I cant get there stoned...
Anyway...if you realy want to go I'l find a way...
