for a long ass time i have been anxiously waiting for the day to come when i would get the incredible opportunity to experience JOTI SIDHU's set & now this day is finally arriving... just in time too... late x-mas present perhaps??  what a way to start the new year... thanks a million alladin crew... big ups to u... i cant wait!!

I can't wait.... I saw him in last year and it was killer... 
I heard some very good things about Joti too....
so once again good job guys.... as always u have everything to make a wonderful party....

how come there are never any live acts? 30$ for just dj sets is too much. whats the point of bringing these people just for dj sets?

Hello again Gadi
Who are you referring to these people, aren't they few of the hot names in the trance scene all over the world? As I can see you want to discriminate my name. I understand that you have personals problems and as a moderator who hold such a responsible job in the forum US you should be objective and not take sides. You should support any trance act who comes to NY. Now to the main issue, the reason that we do not bring Live acts is because it costs double and Live act needs in my opinion a big orchestra sound and preferbly to be outdoors for a large crowed. The live acts the we HAVE brought, wanted to play live without extra cost. Now as a previous party promoter you should know the cost of the party and how much hard work goes into it. I don't know about you since you gave up on making parties. But we NEVER made a profit. What we get from doing it is the excitement of making something happen. It is bringing the best artists from all over the world to the US. It is bringing trance people together creating the best harmony. We are expanding the trance scene in NYC and that's what matters.
As we spoke before you have my # and my brothers. You can call if you have any questions.

We all know that live acts are all we want to hear.They generate much more energy and much more positive vibe that we all like.

As we all know its hard to make any profit from trance parties ,cost of bringing live is at least double.As carma said the reason is to expanding the trance scene in nyc.And I can agree with him.
IMO its better to have even one trance party a month so later on ,I hope we are going to have twice a month (hehe this allready happen omnitribe, alladin) both with live acts.

im so glad youre here to remind me what my job here, whatever will i do without you? let me return the favor and remind u of your job as a promoter:
you MUST be open and honest with your audience when you advertise, anything less then that is a simple lie in order to get more people... i think its pretty weak to write Etinca or whatever and in actuality bring only one member to play a dj set that anyone from his label can do or anyone in the world with good tunes can as well. i dont owe you explanations on a personal level since i have very little respect for you due to your as of late actions (you know exactly what im talking about), since i do know you and you tend to bend the truth (to say the least) on a daily basis. its nice that you do parties in ny and your parties are not bad, but that doesnt give u immunity for false advestising. actually as a moderator is it my job to make sure everything is legit and correct otherwise a red flag is raised. i dont beleive u about not making a profit, but thats a futile discussion that will go nowhere on the net.
as i have said before, i know how much a party budget is, i know how much you pay for dj sets and i think the price you charge for only dj sets is too much. that along with your deliberate false advestising was the reason for me to make this comment. dont expect people to sit quiet when you this is your contstant and prefferd way of action. reading over your wordd, i find many of them very hard to beleive since i know both of you on a personal level... very diplomatic here though, good job.

Ppl paid $25 for an IM DJ set and live here in FL... I would much prefer 5 DJ sets for $30 in NY... since $30 in NY is like $15 in FL Dunno, I am excited about this event... Now if you have personal issues, it is better to discuss them outside the forum

We can keep on going and it will never stop. as a moderator you should be responsible to call us and let us know what's going on, to get both sides of the story straight before you post your opinion. Baba I do not want to provoke you or discuss on an imature level specially in public. I see that the point is not to understanding only to discriminate. For us this issue is closed. we are not coming down to this level, and you know that you are always welcome to call or get together to clarify everthing. Other than that it is all pointless.

I have to agree with Surrender.For me it really makes alot diference hearing for exemplo etnica live them just dj set ..$30 dollars for djs set is a litlle too much indeed ...i went to inumerous parties in NYC for many years and this is the first time i hear someone complain about pay more for live show  ..Look at any other organization ever present in NYC they all had at least one live ,if not two or even three live acts.

Then again it isnt totally uncommon to advertise a live set and get a dj set. There was a thread in one of the other forums recently about this. I mean how live is the average live set anyway? I honestly dont have any idea but it bothers me less to see dj sets advertised and get dj sets than to see "LIVE!" written on the flyer and get a dj set or a guy dancing around in front of an unplugged synthesizer as I hear happens from time to time...
If a producer comes ad DJs their latest versions of their trax that seems as good as a live set in my book. Hope thats what happens! |
