I hate alcohol with trance music. It makes the music sound all washed out, not rich and vibrant sounding, makes my body feel heavy, prevents me from going into a trance.
I like alcohol with other kinds of music (rock, funk, hiphop, house) but for trance, no. It kills my trance every time. Even 1 drink, although not enough to intoxicate, noticably decreases my dancefloor energy and feeling of connectedness with the music.
I for one am a big fan of alcohol free parties.

Completely agree... alcohol marries itself well with rock or metal, weed with dub/reggae... I'm sorry for the cliches but I believe that traditions should be honored and I doubt people were drinking on anjuna beach @ 40 degrees celcius back in the day...
But I love alcohol, especially wine  |
