You mean Hemingway, the rather good American writer slumming it up in Cuba...who was an alcoholic depressive, and ended up shooting himself? Dylan Thomas, Oscar Wilde, Charles Bukowski, a bunch of Russian writers that I can't now name...all miserable sods whose alcoholism made them even more miserable. Yes, they were great writers - but not because of alcohol.

A positive relationship between alcohol and creativity is usually coincidental, not causal. Nice try.

Make mine a double.
With ice.

But not on the dancefloor - at a psychedelic trance event.

Cheers.

af course they were not great writers because of the alcohool.but if ,as parapsyched wrote, alcohool makes u stupid, then those guys writing all those stuff sinked in the alcohool ,then imagine how clever they were before they start drinking(i dont know if i really made sense here)

anywayz drinks on me

x rust were you drunk when u wrote that last one...?
cause it does make sense if your drunk.
its true alchohol destroys some barriers of thought and overcomes some mental blockings but still ...u your self admited that
"imagine how smart they were to begin with" so... you get the point.
and traveller i was definetly not talking about xtc. which is a whole different issue. so don`t even get me started on that one...
(plus if i do the moderators will get mad again casue it would be off-topic and we all know how sensitive they are about those things.)

coming to think of it mesacline beer does sound preety tempting... is there a choice between bottle or barrel?
if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

Just so you know Hemingway wrote his masterpieces while drunk..

Oh and the xtc thingy wasn't a joke. That's the drug of choice if you want to become a retard..

The only way alcohol destroys braincells is if you pass out.. and even that is not because of alcohol but lack of oxygen.

Now if you want to say that alcohol makes people stupid.. well they are stupid to begin with if they can't behave themselves..

IMO

intresting reading material about alchohol and its so popular and legal and so (how shall i phrase this?) much a part of our soceity can be found at terrance mckkena`s book food of the gods... if anyine is intrested in reading some more about this.

and about xtc. i totaly agree. used to be a realy big part of my fun @ parties to sit in the morning and laugh about all the xtc casulties on the dancefloor. sort of like bugs on k300 . especially when you put it together with that open hi-hat sound that is so typical to trance. it sounds exactly like the sound k300 or any k for that matter sounds when you spary those bugs... tss tss tss tss.... they also behave the same way. (the bugs on k and the x casulties)           if u dig deep enough u just might reach the sky...

If it does really, that means that you're stupid anyways.. It's like a mirror of your personality.. People getting violent when drinking alcohol are in a way or another violent anytime even if they can "hide" it..

And beer.. hmmmmm beer.. I'm still dreaming about a festival where there would be a swimming-pool full of the hop nectar !

Hello Bro...

In some countries from latin-america the 80% of the ppl likes drink when go to fun ( it´s because from the hot weather and other conditions..is part from our culture)

also remember that some parties or festivals in the world the $$$ comes from alchool promoters...

i think that the ppl have the rigth to take any sustance...in that places.(alcohol or mics )

i like sometimes drink a good glass with Whisky on the Rocks ( CHIVAS REGAL ) meanwhile i put the music...

greetings and CHEERS !!
