I heve been thought like that till a half year ago. However, now I think that any vector-graphics program is a neccesery part of graphic designers kit. (Freehand, Illustrator or CorelDraw)

well yes for texts, titles, and for preparing the final layout vector graphics apps are a must.
but if I want more complex vector shapes I really rather doing it in max and exporting it as a vectoric format instead of fiddling with freehand trying to achieve the shape I want..

for webdesign the photoshop 7 is enough.

You owe the technology some of you greatest works, though you obviously do know to draw great pssychedelic paintings.

i use photoshop 5.5/6 (and soon i'm getting 7)
and i want to get & study 3D studio max, it looks awesome !

there are much better programs than photoshop !
you don't have to say photoshop is the best because thats what you learn at shool Or because this is the only program you ever used !
IMO photoshop is very high quality but there are other programs you better check before you become used to photoshop !
never attach yourself to something before you check around and make test with difference...
what if everyone of us will think positive about peace ?
