Look, i don't believe that a psy festival is a healthy place for very young children... i'd say under 16ish...

in a way 18 for boys and 20 for girls would be much better           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

well I'm as much vulnerable now as I did when I was 18.
girls should be aware of this and not go by their selves.
btw in israel girls age is very seldom being cheked,
anyway I think that festivals should have age limit at 18 years- so there won't be any minors problems, like serving alchohol and stuff, in order to reduce police presents

I don't want any age limits at a psy festival. I want to be able to attend a festival with my Wife and small son. If the parents are responsible parents, then the kids will come to no harm. The problems occur when parents are too out of their minds to look after their kids, and I have seen this not just on the psy scene. It's a fallacy to say we have to protect youngsters etc at a psy gig because of the possibilty they may be offered drugs. Wake-up, they can get offered all this stuff at school or in their own neighbourhoods. I think all those people going on about age restrictions just don't want to have to deal with little kids running around when they themselves are out of it on this, that or the other. Ask yourself the question, 'Are you going to a music festival to enjoy the drugs you take or for the music?' Here in the UK, we have a night called Whirl-Y-Gig, which alot of people used to go to in the days before Psy. They have a policy of allowing all ages in, and it's not uncommon to see babies and old age pensioners together. Another night in London, Planet Angel Chilled, runs in the day time on Sundays, and allows people who have kids and are into partying, to bring their kids to a safe indoor environment, where all can party. Sure psy is about being inclusive and not exclusive???? Sure if there are legal reasons etc, by all means have an age limit.           Turn On, Tune In, Trance Out!!!

Yes, best keep the laydeez at home until they learn how to look after themselves. And learn all the other essential skills in life such as cooking.

well said full lotus, i totally agree. its down to the parents to look after kids that young and many many responsible adults take their kids to parties and i for one am grateful for this because in many cases it softens the ragged edges of a party.

as for irresponsible adults, well you get probelms in any scene but i have never seen problems from having kids around at boom, voov or any other european parties that i have been to (well not psy-trance anyway).

and as for a girls limit being older, i think you may find that girls mature far more earlier than blokes. 9 times out of 10, you see the munters and they are men not women. age limits for blokes anyone??

Yes I know that's how it usually goes, nevertheless it's the girls that "attract" harm..           "The dinosaurs became extinct because they didn't have a space program."

yeah i'm not saying that nasty things don't happen but you know why is that??!! immature blokes for a start!

i'm not sure there is anyway round this. you have problems likie this with any scene and this is possibly a bigger problem as ppl are out there "expanding their mind (man)". IMO enforcing age limits is not the way to promote any kind of scene and enforcing different age limits for the sexes is frankly.......sexist (IMO) especially when the irony is that it is blokes that are more immature.

IT depends on the country and organizers!
In Malta for example the age limit is 16!
At big festivals I don't think there is an age limit cause even babies can come in but that is becasue thy're called Festivals and not parties i think!
