if there's alcohol served at the vent you can't get in if you're younger than 18 in finland..

if the alcohol is served at specific location (with some guy checking ids before you get into that location) then there's no age limit

For me there should be AT LEAST an 18+ age limit on all events all around the world.

But thats just me i guess.           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

Why is that?

I can understand your point, because there are alot of unmature youths out there. But, at least here in Norway, people whos under 18 and like psytrance, are mostly quite mature, and very interested in music. While if you go to a R'n'b place... geez.

There are ppl under 18 who can behave as a normal person too, you know

Hey there.
Think ya right detox, cause i just don't want to know, what happens with these kids out of the festival area. I mean, you'll always have bong smoking, acid heads around you on a party. How do the parents of these 1 to 17 years old kids manage this??
And for shure, i'm happy, that i was NOT involved in the scene while I was playing with my He-Man toys!           Schneller, Lauter, Full on!!!

Fragletrollet under 18 year old people are normal persons indeed,no one said the opposite.

BUT they are vunerable to external threats unlikely a more mature and old person is.

Let me give you one simple example.

Lets say a girl aged 16 years old goes to a party for her first time. Then a guy like me who is 23 notices her and makes dirty thoughts about her in his mind.So then he sees her moves, notices she is alone in the party and decides to go and speak to her.

The get to know each other little better during the party, dance together, have fun,a couple of drinks AND THEN the older guy offers her some drugs. The girl refuses to get them but the older guy manages to convince her that she will feel nice when taking them and that grown up people use them and bla bla bla.The girl takes the drugs, the guy seduces the girl and many other things follow like you can imagine inside or outside the party area.

Sounds like a silly and funny story?Well sorry to inform you but this is reality and incidents like the one i mentioned above take place every weekend in clubs and parties around the world featuring both underaged boys and girls.

So to sum it up.An age limit protects these people from possible threats to them into a party. And if like you said Fragletroller there are many quite mature people in Norway and in other countries that are underaged but still love psytrance then i am preety sure that they can understand how usefull this age limit is for the rest of the people in the same age as them and i am also quite sure that they can be patient for a year or two before visiting a party, they got all the time in the world ahead of them anyway           Toodaloo Motherfuckers!!!!!

I don't know what kind of problems having underage ppl at parties may cause in countries where psytrance is "in", but here in Canada, I can see no reason to impose an age limit. Ppl that are not supposed to be at trance parties are just not there.           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

That is just what I mean. Detox, i totally see your point, but still, persons still get offered drugs anywhere else in everyday life, ofcourse more so at psytranceparties. But still, Tough, you really dont know how difficoult it is to waight another year, when the only music you really care about is pstrance / ambient, wich is ONLY played at clubs with 18-20-23 here in norway.

But, I guess ehn I will be 18 I will have just the same thoughts as you DETOX. Actually I have them right now, but I just want an excuse for myself to enter a flippin psyfestival

thats true. i agree with most of u. a minimum age limit of about 18 should be enforced. too much freedom too early can be dangerous in numerous ways.

It seems obvious that the organisers have to know and follow the laws of their country, or the country they're organising in..

Having said that, do they completely do it or not ?

I don't remember having seen really young people in any festival who came without their parents.. (Like a bunch of 14 years old punks, you know what i mean..)           .
