advice on converting people

BOOM Babas...
i'd like some advice on converting rockers into psyheads..
im in a new city full of rockers n no psyscene...
how do i go about...they all wince at the mention of "trance" or "electronic" or "dance" muzik...
well yea puttin them on a trip and playin it is a diffrent matter..
but then these guyz are not your average kids..they are all above 25..so minds are quite fixed..afraid to take new ideas?
also my roomie also a rocker and musician...has 2 lissen to psytrance 18 hours a day due to me..but then when i asked him about the muzik..
well he said he didnt really like it bcoz theres not much of musical values into it.. 
Anyways, I guess psytrance is simple and extasic muzik for simple extasic peeple 
Just Dance, In TrAnCE!

If they dont want to listen to it you shouldnt force them or try to convince them into likeing it...

2. rent amp. system
3. put gms on and start driving around like crazy, while throwing money to the people who listen.
trance will surely be the biggest hit in town.

It's never too late for a conversion...
If by rockers, you mean metal-heads, then show them some old Sun Project (380 volt, zwork).
New stuff - try also Talamasca - Aries... it might work.
If none of the above do it, then use the all-time conversion track: Hallucinogen - LSD.
Although it may be a bit too soft for metal-heads, for sure it works in people which appreciate good music and psychedelic experiences (even if they aren't aware of that). |

you can't force anybody to like trance. people have to find out by themselves.
but to give you some hope. age really doesn't matter. a friend of mine, age 30, only liked rock and punk as well. he went to a goa-festival last year, and he loved it. he was taking xtc there for the first time in his life.
(... of course you can feel the vibes without drugs... blablabla, but the truth is: if you are new to this, it's much easier to understand, whats it all about, when you take psychedelics. at least once. sorry for being politically incorrect.)
recipe: don't force them to listen to your music, but go with them to a festival, and at least tell them not to drink alcohol. but if they don't like it, you can't do anything about it. |

First of all , I don't think that you should force them to listen to trance. You can suggest and let them try. Introduce them to trance by maybe explaining to them the backround of the music. How it's created, the psychedelic and weird track and artist names. If you come to think of it, it's pretty interesting.

Try crossover albums...
Juno Reactor (many outside the psyrealm love them)
Chi-AD (He played in metal band Venom once)
Sandman (loatsa gothic, industrial influences)
Shpongle (simply because it is great)
Pleiadians-IFO (Its Iron Maiden without the metal a friend of mine once said about this album).
Delta/X-Dream/Dark Soho-Speaks for itself... |

Actually I've found that most rockers love artists like Skazi etc who have a lot of electric guitar with high bpm grooves.
I agree that a one-time trip at least will help greatly. Coaxing them to trip at the next party may sound like you are evil - but sure will help. |

infected mushroom is the best way to convert people to like psytrance..... and to eat meat.. too
i converted some of my friends to like psytrance using infected
