Bring them out of the forceful obsession for rock.
Its not possible for anybody to not like Trance music.
First of all i believe all music in this universe is trance.
And what we are listening to are the Zzounds of Future.
You dont need to convert them. They shall convert themself someday.
We are attacked by the future

u try anything nd everything
but as rightly said by someone
if their heads are not open... their ears arent too
so before puttin the sounds in their ears make sure that they have nothing against it
yes a pill wud help for this but if they open for new sounds.. am v sure this music will hit them soon

@ sid i was a rocker and still am ...............noone could convert me but i explored new mzk and still listen to my old mzk .
you cant convert people into anything its something like tea drinkers will seldom go for coffee but if someone likes coffee after drinking tea a while there is 98% probablity he shall prefer both .............

Yes, ppl migh be closed minded about it and not even make the effort to listen carefully and get into it.
For this reason, I think the best thing is to give them some psy so they can hear on their own at home, where they fell more confortable, and its much more likely they will get into it.
About the pill thing, I believe it is important that ppl get into psy not because of the drugs but because of the music, if they choose to do some drugs later its a diferent thing, but i don't think drugs are a good reason for getting into it.

I never like trance when I first heard it...
I was a little anarcho punk rock dude who would make fun of gay electronic music.
But then my psy friend took me to Goa and I saw the lifestyle and all and it helped open me to the music and dance and what not.
My advice is you got to let them in on what makes the whole thing so damn special. The music, the dance, the connections, the fun, the tolerance etc... its combining so many positive things to create an atmosphere that is acceptable and accepted by so many different kinds of ppl.
Of course if rock music lifestyle does the trick for them and makes them more aware ppl they don't really need trance music then right? They use rock to get into the trance state.

Maybe when he stands in front of big sound gear he will understand why we like to much this thing....a friend of mine went to his first rave at 34 years (forced ) , he is married, has three childrens and guess? he is a psytrance DJ today!!!
but there aren't two equal people in entire earth, so this may not work !

this is the most imp factor
u stay with a dog for 2 days and u get attached to him too
sid - if ur roommate has no other option but to listen to the crap (acco to him) music of urs, i am pretty sure slowly he will develop a taste for it.
in a few days u put some not so good tracks and he will surely comment that 'hey the track u put yesterday was better!'
and thats the start

oh, thats easy, just play 1 of the,...like.....5000 tracks written within the trance scene that has screaming guitars. I have always thought that psy trance in the dance scene was equivalent to heavy metal in the rock scene.... yes, underneath your om shirt, you're a bogan just like me.... |

If antiGod rockers start merging into Trance (because underneath they seem to enjoy it more) , surely the influence is gonna spoil the beauty of trance

Hey People, i know many of you have converted some friends into psy trance lovers and have at one point been converted urself.. which tracks have you used to convert frenz.. and which ones did the trick for you?
a few years ago, i can think of atleast 3 ppl who got converted by listen to deeply disturbed and a couple of astrix and skazi tracks.. these same ppl have now diversified into dark and morning lovers...
The only things i can see clearly without glasses are dreams... |
