After actually looking at the pictures i would like to say i think this album concept and design is very artistic , different and quite original.
Indeed not intended for the people with weak stomaches but let my ask you guys one question...

Have you ever opened a World War 2 history book?

Cause i remember clearly being in junior high ( 13? 14? 15 years old barely) and looking at pictures that i think were a bit worse than these in the discussed album.
And most kids in Israel are growing up and learning the history of WW2.(the war and/or the holacoust)
Pictures of masacres, huge graves, dead soldiers, dead anything, demolished cities, hiroshima, anhialation camps, concentration camps, skeletons, violated prignant women. and whatever...
I guess not everyone goes through these books while studying in junior high...

School trips to holacoust musuems where everything becomes even more real and the horror takes a few big steps up.
You talk about pictures? about films? about horror movies?

Go to some of the holacoust museums in Israel.... just don't eat before you enter if you still think about a C.D booklet or a snuff film you saw a while back that makes you feel bad.
And incase you won't puke bring some packages of tiussue papaer, cause you might not stop crying for the rest of the day.

People are the meanest most twisted creature alive, we can be as inventive and amazing and wonderfull as we can be evil, i actually believe the evil side is like 60%
against the smaller 40% side which is the good one.

Being aware of it for a moment and accepting it , even if may it may be a snuff film Nina, is a part of life.
It's just like turning off the news when you hear the shit is hitting the fan...

Either way, concerning our scene and psy trance , i think this doesn't fit cause actually when listening to the tracks i don't feel these emotions... even if it's dark psy... but that's me...

Good day.

P.S: i am practising my escapism everyday. i believe it will make me happier. I might become less intelctual cause of it. but that's a small price i am willing to pay.
Just heard on the radio the police cavalry is running over people in the occupied terretories... see? this shit happens everyday all the time... so let's cut the crap about some fucking c.d cover.

Difference with looking at war books/going to a museum is that you know what to expect with these......Opening up this cd, you have absolutely no idea what's inside.
Personally, i think the artwork in itself is extremely weak - just something else to try and shock and cause contoversy - if you wanna do that acidance - go into Fine Art and exhibit @ proper exhibitions along with damien hirst and tracy emin.

I agree with your last point - as a whole package, it certainly doesn't work at all.           "Nothing would be what it is, Because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary-wise-what it is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"

Stop buying stuff you don't know.
Stop buying SHIT you don't need.
Stop buying crap in general.
Research, read, investigate before you spend your money.

Our generation is corrupted, brain washing is working 24/7 , war is going on everywhere, if it's gangs in your city or militias and guerila in africa or the U.S.A in the middle east (or nam , or korea, or russia... each era and it's goal)... the funny thing is most of it is legal and approved by "the system"

The world is fucked up, tottaly, just put on your head phones and some good music and smile for being able to do so, and thankfull for not being in some deep shit somewhere in some godforsaken shit hole.

Or you can stand up , and do something about it...

Yes, Ron, you are absolutley right.

But why do we need all that shit to be spoiled on something that was clean before that, thing that gave us power to defeat evil. Now the only source of the pure and clean spiritual power is poisoned with all that shit around us...

And my personal opinion is that it is just ego games.

"We want to spread the message !"

Fuck, if you want to spread a message than go in politics, get elected and DO something, or take part in some charity projects or just go and help other ppl, but not just cry out loud that "world is shit", "war is bad" (and make money from it).
Every fucking morron can do that.

W-O-R-D.

Exactly.

By ruining peoples escapism you are destroying hope, and things that makes this planet still turn around.

On the other hand... it might make a change.
This story really does have 2 sides, as most stories do...
But here is is extremely noticable.

As i said earlier, we are not 9 years old kids... we deciede what and when and how to buy and escape reality, if there is a hidden mine there we just need to be smart enough to bypass it. The whole concept of fluffy colorfull all good trance is dead a few years now anyway... so this album won't make a big difference anyway.

Will Dragon - another thing, i forgot to mention... he BOUGHT the album, no one tied him to a chair and made him watch the horror.

And by the way, where do you live? cause where i live if you want it or not, 90% of the raido channels broadcast horror every time the clock hits a new hour, if you want it or not.

Bless the mute button.

Was it Japanese? Was it called "Guinea Pig 1 - Flower of Flesh and Blood"? Cause it sure sounds like it... And that movie is not snuff, just a horror movie.           Dressed to kill you look so right... I am drunk with lust tonite.

Why can't Acidance do what they want?

There are more than a 1000 labels listed on psyshop.

Let them go for it!

There needs to be differentiation between the labels.

ok. i took the time to actually look at the pictures before i reply to this topic. how many of you who condemn the cover have done the same? cause i don't really understand your reactions if you have. you really can't compare a snuff movie to it or accuse it of exploitation if you take your time and READ the texts which are included with the pictures. there are much worse pictures out there with a much more higher shock value acidance and the designer could have chosen if the only agenda were to create a hype.
i've seen many of these pics before in serious DOCUMENTS and SCHOOL BOOKS.

and here we come to the real reason why the majority here reacts like they do:

false! how can you actually change your surroundings by escaping!?! this is a contradiction in terms. you are really double deceiving yourself my man.
it's vital to understand living being's aggressive nature. it's vital to understand that people as a race are the most aggressive of them all and that we have the means to destroy life on earth. it's vital that every one of us bears it in mind all the time. and finally it's vital to accept death as a natural process.
why are we always so shocked to see a dead human being? why aren't we as concerned with other life forms on this planet?

Becuase a dead man is a dead human being which belongs to your race. It's natural to symphatise with your own kind.
Just as people do concerning civilizations, cultures, etnic groups, community, class mates, gangs, family members , brothers, your own broken arm which you will symphatsise the most with, trust me....

There extremists who love animals more than humans for example... nature lovers of all sorts and animal rights fighters who i think cherish the life of a dolphin more than the life of a man or a woman, which in many cases is understandable.
you don't see animals going around shooting their own kind in the head.
YES , there are aggressive animals , some species of monkeys and other races i can't think of right now...
but this is getting off topic.

Read what i wrote in my earlier posts again.

P.S:

This discussion came at quite a good time , cause these days i am listening to more and more Drum and Bass and i can tell you that this music is much more down to earth...
i can relate to it much more than to psy trance today, if it's hardcore or liquid or funk.
You got it all, it's urban, it's dreamy, it's agressive.... yet it stays in a dimention where you can actually move...
Trance today is like a confused middleaged man - he doesn't know if he wants to relive his youth or get on with his life, sit at home all day and do nothing with him self or try to evolve.

yes, this is very clear and true. it was more a rhetorical question...

funny that you call "these people" extremists. not all of "them" are so desperate that "they" would take extreme actions. and to love a dolphin or a tree deosn't mean that you wouldn't love human beings. it's not a either/or question. "they" emphasize on animals/plants because they are in danger of extinction and human beings are not (yet).

i wrote above that all LIVING BEINGS are aggressive by nature, thriving for expansion. if you look at a tree it grows and grows if it has no natural boundaries. it too is aggressive in it's expansion that finally leads to self distruction...

I'm jumping in without reading all of the posts. Sorry if i mess up anyboyds conversation.

People change moods quickly when they are influenced by what arrouses them, both in good or bad ways.
In the eye of the looker the world can appear in so many different ways. I know this because i've been there. I've been in the different world of everything. I used to watch the news and than sink in misery because i saw some sad pictures from somewhere in the world. I learned one thing-to make your life easier don't moan and don't feel sorry for anybody. If you can do something to make a difference do it. The world will miss out if i turn sad again. I know that i am in this place to make people happy as much as i can. There is crazy shit going on in the world but that is the way it is.

The guys from acidance, whoever was responsible for the concept of this CD has probably been influenced by some things that caused this kind of output. Everything happens for a reason and the reasons can be infinite.

Now, to those people who are in such mood-war, famine, hunger, pain and other ever-present fragments of our lives, the concept of the CD is just normal and they are OK with it.
To those who don't want to be influenced by sad things like that, they just won't bother listening to the CD because it's not their shot of booze.

And for those who have taken the philosophy of balance in their lives, they will just listen to the music and take the CD as it is-music, people who make music, and one weird theme. It's a virtue not to be very easily influenced by other things that mess up with your mood. I'm glad i'm like that most of the time.

carry on now
