Cheers for taking the time to make these! Really informative stuff. Its always a treat to see how other people work and pick up some new techniques along the way. Keep them coming!

@PsiloCybian cool tuts.
I think u should add more accurate tittles as well as youtube tags, so more people can find them. |

my buddy and I got our PCs to talk to each other wirelessly and I was able to drive his ableton with my ableton!
We're super excited to have a true jam out session each with our own computers but synced up....if anyone is interested in doing it its really easy, just download RTPMIDI - its free and open
http://www.tobias-erichsen.de/rtpMIDI.html
then have the 'sync' button lit up for the new MIDI that's added to your ableton config by the rtpMIDI, connect the computers - set one of the ableton's to external (EXT button in upper left by tempo) and hit play on the master ableton!

Woh. was just making a pretty standard white noise ramp and discovered something pretty neat.
So - I was using a noise oscillator in omnisphere, swept a filter so that the noise builds as usual, blah blah. Decided to automate a delay to come in with really high feedback at the end of the filter sweep and I got a nice lush delay - swishy airy noise noises, ya?
Ok, that's all well and good - I bounce it all down to audio but then i thought...what does white noise sound like tranposed with a clip envelope?
Turns out it sounds fucking cool/weird! Try transposing some white noise with the Beats algorithm set to 1/8 or 1/16 - it instantly sounds very metallic/rapsy/glitchy...but not overly harsh and noisy like I was kind of expecting.
Turned into a neato lead-ish pattern!
here's the audio from the happy accident:

noise sweep, delay'd noise, transposition in beats mode.

ive experimented using the sidechain feature on the gate and filter, its handy for stuff occupying the same freq range, when you bring in another instrument. Also it can add character to the mix adding something of a 'bumpy' feel in an otherwise uniform sound.
As for Max for Live;
I LOVE THE PROGRAM CHANGE KNOB
THE ML185 RULES along with everything Monolake made
neur0 rules too, basically its an Audio Damage Axon clone
Axis Mundi's tools are also nice
cant forget MIDI Quantize
and for us who cant use Automap theres RockBottom
the open/close group device is handy too
various timers come in handy
the Nwdlbots set is a neat thing too
