Hi all!
This message may look weird to you. Well, i started to listen to psychedelic around 7 months ago. I'm 16, and i'm female, and rather pretty. I don't have any good friends listening to psychedelic music. So i don't really have anyone to go to a party with.
And i have never been to one party yet. And i don't know if i should go. My parents really don't want me to. I don't take drugs, not at all, no smoking even. But i really love psychedelic music. I just wondered, if i can really get to know this kind of music without parties??? And is everyone who goes to parties taking drugs? How do psychedelic parties look like? Do people dance or just sit around on the floor listening and smoking and hallucinating???

Toma, I guess that's yer name,
I think at 16 it's even wonderfull to discover the music without the parties. It is possible. When I was 13, that's when I discovered this music, I never went to any parties. untill I grew older - and in the matter of fact, without the parties you learn the emotional side here much more than the powerfull crazyness that goes on at parties.
Try finding some friends that listen, this is a good place to start - I think u got many folks in Canada that do. That would be great for ya -

well.
i think parties are a part of the thing.
u have to go to a party.
u must.
when u will see 500 or more ppl jumping up and down and dancing like crazy in perfect sync, then you will know what i mean.
its magic.
most of the time you listen to the music at home or wherever...
but once in a while a party is so much fun.
and forget drugs.
i started with drugs in parties but i stoped.
now i go cause i like dancing like crazy with many other ppl who feel the same.
you should do the same...
just think about it.
think about all the smiling faces around you.
its a powerfull feeling.
oh and about your question...

parties are parties.
most ppl dancing.
some smoking some weed on the side of the party sometime...
but basicly ppl come to dance.
p.s. - go to www.psysex.co.il for example and go to the galley, there you will see pictures of many parties...

to add to what Trip just said , i would recommend u just to flow with your clear and unspoiled passion to this music , at this stage ... at age of 16 , and esspecially being a girl that obviously grow up faster then we boys do , i guess u have a quite formulated personality , but still i'd recommend u to let it cook some more .... parties are an amazing experiance , and if u're captivated by the sounds coming from your home stereo - u can't even imagine what is it like when it comes out of powerfull soundsystem ... and u'll see ppl dancing like u've never seen before and U will dance like u never thought u'r able to .. but on parties there is a bigger chance that u'll be offered some substance and u'll have to make your choice . not enrering the saga what is right and what is not right to do , u'll decide for yourself , but imho as late it happens - it's better for u ( not at age of 80 ofcourse , we need u young and pretty  ) , coz @party your choice will not be objective and for example if u'll take a drug - u may be very sorry about this the next day and who knows how your 16 years old psyche will handle with it .... obviously it can be applied on any age but u see , it's sweet sixteen so imho , if u can postpone this moment a little bit more - do it .... if u just can't - so go and party  just be carefull ... and do u have any psychodelic parties out there in your home town ? probably not many ... remember , first party is a special one so wait for a good one to come . i used to be just like you. first party at the age of 16-17. you can check out some party videos at www.psysex.co.il and www.infected-mushroom.de . after you see some of those vids i'm sure you will want to party!!!

hi Toma!
well, im not old yet (19), and i started going to parties in your age. i dont use any kind of drugs and even dont touch ciggaretes (and never touched any of these before). however i love the music, therefore i love going to parties. music is the drug for me, so if u love the music, dont worry about not being "high" and energetic. as soon as you will come to the party, and see the people dance near a monster sound devices, believe me, you will want to do that too!
its all about the music in parties, not about the drugs, write that!
and dont worry about being the only one who is not drugged, its not something to be ashamed of.

You dont have to do drugs at a party... a friend of mine danced 8 straight hours (middle of the night) without doing anything except for drinking water...remeber to always drink water at regular intervals so u dont get dehydrated .... at last nite neuromotor party there were quita a few people just enjoying the music and dancing, but not tripping..
....good fudge comes on slow!!! |

Of course, its different in different countries but here I would say its 50/50 people who dance and people who not.
And not all take drugs. I cant say how many do, but probably not many.
Again its different in different countries, over there in Canada cannabis is legal, which change the whole situation...

Well first of all indoor and outdoor parties are 100% different. I haven't been to too many outdoor parties. A few in the forests of Finland and once in Koh-Phangan, island on the coast of Thailand. So I usually I go to indoor parties here in Helsinki.

Go to parties and you will make new friends.
Just find a nice looking boy who doesnt seem to have anyone around him and chat chat with him.

Well, I went to a few parties, but the first real one was when I was 18, the famous "drugless festival" in Israel. What I concluded from that - make your first party a huge, massive, happy festival. Something that you'll remember for ages and ages, and always be able to look back and say "that party was perfect". The only other experience I had which was as strong and beautiful was the Samothraki Dance Festival this year, which was totally different.
I didn't take any drugs then (didn't even smoke), and I believe that since women have exactly as formulated a personality as men at their age, you could probably resist the temptation at a party pretty easily, since like Chaka Laka, none of us here believe in stereotypes, even when they favor us, right?
Anyways, the only way to properly enjoy trance music at a party is outdoors. Clubs aren't even close. Don't make your first party just a visit to a club. Make it an experience. The bigger, the better. Even though the first one really is always good, it can be the best ever

seini there is NOTHING like watching the sun come up while you are dancing to some morning tunes with all the smiling faces around you.
its magical.
i dont think you can watch the sunrise in a club.
