I've been wanting to write this message for some time now but I've always thought to myself whats the use?

After my newest album was released in December 2006 I've gotten no response at all. This means for example not even one booking and not even one in my hometown of Copenhagen.

Maybe I'm just a cry baby but I really got offended by this, I mean after more than one years of hard work and then nothing. It resulted in I actually lost my passion for the music. I don't feel like it anymore, if people don't listen then why even bother making the music?

So now you all know what's going on. In case you feel like it go download some of my album tracks on www.myspace.com/geneticspaghetti
You're more than welcome.

All the best and keep it underground

I dont listen to this style so i dont know. Dont take anything im about to say personally. Just an opinion.

1. Dont blame it on the people.

Maybe not enough people bought your CD. Why?

a. Poor label promo OR
b. Music wasnt appealing and the reviews werent too hot.

2. No bookings?

a. Once again lack of promo OR
b. Music wasnt appealing to listeners.
c. Its upto you and your label to send out promo cd's smartly to party organisers hoping that they will enjoy the music you make. Remember these days its the artists who are after organisers not the other way around. Why wouldnt an organiser just call a Skazi & Infected Mushroom when he can make a LOT more of those artists playing @ his parties. And that is offcourse subjective as well, i guess you need to be in touch with the right organisers.

Anyways this topic is beyond my scope.

However, it is sad you lost your passion for this music. But remember when you point your finger at the listener, you have 3 pointing back at yourself. Im almost certain more from your behalf would have atleast kept this project going.

Nonetheless i wish you all the luck for your future endevours whether they are musical or not

I have listened to your album, and except for Spin City (which is great) I found the music difficult to fit in a set, sounds like it fits better in a set that starts more as progressive and move into faster stuff, and few people play sets like this these days. That's the price for being different.

Many artists talk to me about the booking problem, and the fact is that if you don't have a network of contacts, including a label engaged in making parties or tours, you'll probably get few bookings. Happened with more well known artists as well...

Expect less from people, and don't give up on music.

i was a big fan of genetic spin some years ago...i lost my interest when the "on/off" album came out..and my opinion is that you didnt followed your hearts, but you focused on making more"commercial music"(with the very wide meaning of the word)..

i hope you will find your way back mate(i also hope to listen to some wicked minimal tribal trance ala tweety )

dont give up           Signature:

hey Michael don't be disappointed mate there are ups and down in life I reckon this time is the down turn.. Your music is great by the way I like your crossover style but nowadays if you don't have ( as stated above) a network of friends , good promotion and fans who like your ideology and philosophy you can't do much which is very sad but true. I know a lot of so called artists who don't even know how to use velocity in the piano roll and have a few albums released and are booked all the time and guess what their music sucks both technically and musically.... so stick around the up will come soon ;-) and don't loose the faith!!!

Michel go back to the old Gentic sound bro and do yourself a favour and find a GOOD label
Many people love the stuff you used to do on creamcorp and other labels and the old minimal progressive sound is quality...

I wish you only the best,
Big up!
