Another monitor that sounds a lot better than its cheap price tag is the AlesisM1 mk2 active.
Still use them everyday.

I am also thinking Dynaudio, I have the same problem as you, Behringer 2031 A. Although I must say knowing those speakers definitely helped me with the mix, and I happen to also have an m audio 12 inch sub, an older model that is quite decent actually, even though it's brand is m audio... I know...
