I also find really troubling that "bla bla bla public performances prohibited" bla bla which comes in ALL cd's, both in the plastic and booklet.
What about dj's? Can they sue a dj because he is playing the albums he bought at a party? Even a free party?

ACUM (Compositors, writers and Publishers Association) is there to protect the artist's rights from plagarism, Unliscenced sales and distribution and/or public playings. they protect the artists. you guys are suggesting to harm the artists. essentially, Not paying for the music means less profit. it's simple math, and I'm no mathmetician, but if you don't get X, you can't produce Y. why is this so hard to understand?

btw, the way around this is to play only music of artists that are not registered with ACUM / other rights associations.

oh, and a producer signed in ACUM needs to pay even when playing his own music, he will get it back, but after some time. (since technically he transfered his rights to ACUM)           Kinetic Honda GmbH, Worldwide Supliers of Quality noise.
