You can talk about full-on , morning progressive blah, blah, blah, melodic marshmellow whatever but dark/psystomp at this point and time is the heaviest, most innovative, progressive form of psy out there. In the end this will facilitate the best trancedance experiance. Like any genre, there is relative good and bad production. I've heard some of that so called progressive and it is the least innovative music out there. However this does not downgrade classic psy-trance such as Hallucinogen, Old GMs, etc or good production coming out of whatever genre.

your not offending anyone with sensabilities

thats for sure

I mean, we know you are from the NSA, and you are here to make sure that no one dances anymore...

there are a few like you...

I know a couple of artists in town, and surprising enough, I have never heard one of them ever call their music dark... I think, at best this is an argument left for 2006...

I agree with the Cowboy your all apart of the new world order. Dont worry my western compadre as long as we keep pumping the good tunes, the people will still dance.

and what the fuck is psystomp! Dont answer that! jesus people when will you stop with all these fucken labels I swear a new one comes out every year.

What's dark today will be fluff in the years ahead. Its just the evolution of it all. When the Goa vibration evolved to its techno sound it was to young to be labeled anything else but Goa.The "candy ravers" opinion's in the 90's where and I quote "its to fast and dark".The "candy ravers" who liked the Goa sound where so blown away and their mouths dropping to the floor which caused them to loose their candy.
We can all agree that our asshole is our asshole but we can't agree on our opinion so let's focus on the fact's already.....

Mayby if you masterminds actually read the post, you would have noticed credit being given to all genres. If you understand how the music works and you do a solid evaluataion of whats coming out these days its plain to see that Dark is the most progressive most of the time FACT! Most of the full on mainstream stuff is the same as 2 years ago and has a repetitious formula just like pop music. Psystomp is not a self used label its a term thats been poping up around forums and websites so mayby you should stay up to date. There are disparate qualities to each subgenre so it tough to group them all together in one pile. If its not dark than what should it be labled to make the distinction. How bout quantum trance? I don't use dark as a badge of honor, I just go on my experiances and some of the psy parties on the east coast of the good ole USA remind of raves. No class, no depth, imitation trance parties. (NYC, Boston.) Still hav'nt made it to any TDC, still hoping to get there.

wordwordswords, but mayby your lazy mind is getting in the way of you changing your limited perspective? Forums are meant for more than brief mindless banter. Just because someone puts a little thought into the subject rather than alluding to their asshole doesn't mean its ranting.

i hate to say it, but isn't it a little more than coincidental that the people who many times offensively rant on this forum all have the same taste in music.

Obviously not everyone, but it is something that i've noticed.

There's good music from just about all the different spectrums of psytrance and a lot of people miss out on good music, because they have their "psychedelic" radars tuned in to just one certain sound, and that the rest of the music, whether it is good or not is being tuned out.

i think its a bit silly to generalize this way. everything else you said made alot of sense but it was prefaced by a generalization which kinda discredits it so im gonna edit your post for you......

Uhmmm....

...don't doubt that. Just about 3-4 years back i doubted it when a friend of mine said that Azax Syndrom, Seroxat, Winter Demon etc. (who were all the real darkpsy deal back then)would go fluffy...and pooofffff, thats exactly what happened But off course we will always have the ever faithful Kindzadzas & Psykovskys so psychedelic trance will be around never fear.. Just my opinion

BOOM

ps - nightpsy is taking over mwahahahaha! (just to press some peoples buttons so no need to get cranky hehe)
