I want to throw out a brief survey:
Do you like DARK PSY?
It includes all subgenres like South-African psy trance, dark full-on, etc.

I wish it were as simple as a yes or no answer. But S.A psytrance = dark psytrance? Not really IMO but talking about night time music my answer would be:

I can't stand most South African psy made after 2004 or 2005. I also don't like most dark full-on, if you mean stuff that comes out on Chemical Crew and similar. I also don't like horror-trance.
I do like a lot of the psychedelic trance that comes out (or used to) on Parvati, Schlabbaduerst, Dejavu, Apoxina, StoneAge, Mistress of Evil, Sanaton, Trishula, and other similar labels. Some people choose to call that style 'dark', but most of it isn't actually dark at all. 
so umm.. yeah.. not a very good question.

i like psytrance, yes there are different styles of psytrance but its all still psytrance.. If it gets the people dancin and trancin then it works perfectly.. |
