Just curious, what happened after you found that his equiptment was unplugged. We're you like "Wow, this is Quadra....Live...Unplugged  "
Did anyone say anything to them, or better yet did anyone confront them about this. I am curious as to what they had to say about this.

the thing was you could walk behind the main stage on your way to the chillout room so the unconnected ports of his gear were plainly visible....my friend was there with a tripod taking photos of the party so he setup right behind a suddenly nervous looking Quadra to shoot a few of him jamming like a rock star on a keyboard with no cords except power for the pretty flashing lights...
i wanted to ask Trevor about how he felt paying for a fake live set but figured i shouldn't bring it up during the event...
hehe, i noticed the 420 flyer says "World Class Headliners TBA" so i guess he or his cardboard cutout doesn't qualify as one...

You should have written him a note and put it on his keyboard.
Then your friend with the tripod sets up his camera for a priceless shot.
As he picks the note up expecting some ass kissing compliment have your friend with the tripod start snappin.
Somewhere between him picking the note up and reading it (if you did it right), you should've noticed a pretty priceless look on his face.
mean I know.
But oh so funny.

See, first of all - who has proof of said pantomime? And it doesn't really matter about whether he faked it or not. Its fuckin hard to play live, especially after following Tsuyoshi.
HOWEVER, if you are going to get paid to do an act, complete the illusion. Like uh, plug some cables into your Nord Lead, and have them lead under the table - noone will ever know the difference. But don't insult your audiences intelligence. |
