Andromeda - The long awaited 2nd album is a massive success.
Biography
The progressive group Andromeda ( Nikos Kostoglou & Anders Nilsson) made their big breakthrough last year with their debut album "Temptation" , A best seller which received many votes as best new comer of 2004 among trance djs around the world. Their new Scandinavian sound was played on every dancefloor and they created a big buzz that lead them to a worldwide tour in 2004/ 2005, giving concerts at festivals and parties in Europe, North & South America, Asia & Australia.
Anders Nilsson (SE) realised an old dream of remixing some of the best and classic goa trance down to progressive versions. Andromeda - The Remixes 2005 was a groundbreaking idea that had never been done before in the psychedelic trance scene. Among the artists featured was Safi Connection, Tikal, Alternate Vision, ManMadeMan etc. A great apetiser that led to their astonishing new second album "Sensation". Its one of the highest expected progressive albums this year. The sound is taken to a deeper level, prepare for massive punch on the dancefloor. A huge grown up sound with clubby influences with so big punch and production nobody can stand still to. Anders experiences as sound engineer / designer also led him 5 years ago to found the project Chromosome and Soul Surfer that is 2 very successful projects as well. Now with the Andromeda side project he and Nick is showing a more progressive mature funky & chunky way of trance. Check it out!

Sweden’s new prodigy child ANDERS NILSSON is back with his new project SOUL SURFER. Anders is one of the new signings on YSE and certainly the talk of the town. His ANDROMEDA Project is the finest in progressive Trance, his role in CHROMOSOME guaranties for uplifting Goa Trance and with SOUL SURFER he is exploring a brand new side of Trance!
The sound of Soul Surfer is very atmospheric, groovy and emotional. SOUL SURFER tracks range from down tempo tracks to full on dance floor tracks but always with his head up in the clouds. It is a fantastic mix of the new progressive sound and old school Trance and Anders handwriting is becoming a very strong trade-mark and already secured him a top place within the scene!
Anders creative output is incredible and rest assured that he is on its way to become the new No.1 Trance Producer!

Ok… well first and most important of all is a whopping great thanks to everyone for making it another fabulous night, it was good to see a lot forum faces, more than usual in fact ( think it may have had something to do with Hamish’s birthday).
And whilst on the subject of…. well done to Hamish, who against all odds, drinks , dinner and all his mates, still, at the mention of ‘play a set’ left everything to come and do the warm up, in replacement to Dj Fungi who broke his arm. (Funny that, I know I’ve done some stooped things from nerves, but never gone that far).
It was brilliant music, like really first class for sure, Anders was a difficult man to get hold of, and having stood me up at Luton, then lost his mobile when he arrived at Gatwick. But jeez when we got him on stage with Nikos, didn’t they kick some psy ass. It all rolled into one, Andromeda, Soul surfer and Chromosone…but it was a really cool three and half hours of excellent live performance.
I was worried that Alex Ligowski might be too ballooned and vodka red bulled by that time to carry us forward. But he made a remarkable performance with a really top quality psy trance grand finale; he really lifted the roof, once again making everyone beg for more.
Yeah it was an amazing night of tunes for those that like the less serious, lighter sided, feel good factor psy trance, which I must confess….. I do.
The other room kicked too, tho’ perhaps I felt that not so many people really quite understood the quality of the Acts therein. I mean Ten Madison is one of the top psy chill acts around, recognised a little more in Germany than in the Uk, and so too Peter Gun , who is huge in the German prog scene. and rated by Sasha, Digweed and DJ Mag. It was a big favour he did for Millennium to come and play second room, and he did it in style.
Big respect and thanks and welcome back to maestro Justin Chaos, who fused the mighty grooves as he usually does so well. It was a pleasure to have him play for us again, and also Mitch, who kicked off the night’s chillage as always, with moving tunage.
Yep, all in all it was a really wonderful party….and so to the points in discussion…well what can I say? Lighting up the DJ booth would be a super idea, I always thought it was the smoke that obscured them, but yeah for sure they could do with some more light, its nice to see the players at work, consider it done for the next (16th Dec) Xmas party, which by the way will be top quality live acts as usual, with some professional back up Djs.
Don’t forget, that whilst the Jacks club is not exactly ‘plush’ it does have many other benefits, and one of them is very important….the owner is a diamond geezer.
We have looked at so many if not all available clubs and have used a few of them, and have to take into account so many factors, we are a fussy lot us psytrance heads. Having said that I do like to change venue. I just hate it when the place we having our psychedelic experience in is run by arseholes…….
Again, thanks to everyone for coming, watch the 16th Dec Xmas party thread closely…
