Hello,
In July, I will leave for India. I will stay there until May 2009.
The problem is: I don't know where I am going to be all the time, but there is a big chance that it will be Bangalore/New Delhi/Chennai.
As these are big cities I hope there will be some parties over there.
I would like to have some contact with somebody who lives there or who has been there to see what is possible and what not...
Can anybody help me out? If you are from the region or know somebody who lives over there, please contact me!!!
I already posted this topic on psynews.org but there some guy told me it would be better to post it over here..
Greetings from Belgium,
Gilles

Yes yes,
I've seen that
I would love to come to that party, but unfortunately I'm like 200,000 miles away from that place...
BTW: I will do anything to try to come to Shanti Jatra Festival!!

boe...you will not only make friends, but get wet all over Monsoons arrive in India around then and its a joyous time.
Weather update: Summers have come in early so now is a good time to be in the mountains. Goa is a bit trouble scene on beaches but i hear u can still do the little thing...too hot anyway. Dharamsala is kinda cordoned off coz of the Tibetan movement. Srinagar and likes though are finally terrorism free and great place to be, and so is Leh and the valley...a must visit before mass tourism kicks in big time

yo lax.... good time to goto koh phangan now. Less crowded. Stay on Ban Tai beach. Wud suggest SP resort there...cheap n a killer place to stay right next to the sea. let me know if u want the contact details. Avoid Hadd Rin. Parties r happening almost every week. But dont expect much ....its more ibiza style parties...cheesy music..drunk n pill poppin crowd. But the most decent parties are the Jungle Experience n Ban Sabaii parties. Full, half, black Moon parties r total crap. Ban Sabaii is in Ban Tai...nice place to hang out n better crowd.
Koh phangan has some of the best beaches in the world and lots of mountains to trek. Check out bottle beach...the more isolated beach there.
Even tho the parties arnt great...its a great place to chillout and has similar goa vibes.

Yea wanna make it there late this year or early next year and wanted to get a psy trancer's perspective on the place. But i did some research and aparently the Ban Sabaii jungle xpeirence and the Shiva Moon party were parties with a really Psy trance 4/4 vibe have been banned and just parties on Had rin are alllowed which as Caco has said is more on the commericial side!
But travelling to them exxotic island will sure be awesome! So hopefully soon i be in Ko Samui n Koh Phangan!

ah tats bad. They shud remove the 2am ban soon...the whole island survives on these parties. Ban Sabaii has day parties going without any problem. But then u r not really missing out on these...u will be quiet disappointed with the cheese.

hey everyone..
Plans got changed,
I am not in Bangalore as said earlier, but I'm in Ahmedabad. Not much of a scene here, I know that. But I will be travelling in some time when the season starts.
Where should I go? Ahmedabad will be the base, from where I'll leave and return to...
Gokarna, Leh, Dharamsala,...
Tell me plz! |

I'm planning a long stay at some reasonably priced good ashram nearby the hills. Does anyone have any info about some good ashrams nearby the himalayas?
I just found one.
http://www.sivananda.org/uttarkashi/
Want to research more before starting off. Please advice about places you have been to and stayed for a couple of days. I need info about the rates they charge too.
Basically, I am looking for ashrams offering long term residential programs. Not weekly or monthly courses.
