13th October 2007 - Baraka with OTT, Dick Trevor + more @ The Coven, Oxford.
This October has something special in store, as we've decided to take Oxford Psy-Trance parties to the next level. We can't say too much yet but these few cats, we can let out of the bag...

This October has something special in store, as we've decided to take Oxford Psy-Trance parties to the next level. And we can finally announce our full line-up for your delectation. Not only do we have one of the best Chill line ups around, with Ott, Mood Deluxe and our old friend Cosmonaughty, but we've got Dick Trevor and Liquid Ross blowing apart the main room. And it doesn't stop there. NO! We've lined up super special guest artist Midimal to come direct from Switzerland for his UK Debut and the launch of his new album "In Search of Water" . This is going to be one awesome party. See you there

I am looking so much forward to this weekend...
Will be coming with some of the Frakas to party with the UK croud, thanx all Baraka crew, this is the best you could do for Midimal UK debute. The line up is really promissing and there is no doubt Midimal will be loaded with energy for this gig.

This is going to be one great party! We're really looking forward to having you and the rest of the fraka peeps over to Oxford. As you can see, we're pulling out all of the stops to produce one of the biggest line-ups for psy-trance in Oxford this year. All this on the crystal clear Funktion One Sound System. mmmmmmmmm!

This really looks like something special!
I mean what a beautiful line up... and its great to see a fellow fraka like midimal coming to the UK. Im just so sad that i have to leave back to mexico on the 1st of october!!!
Just make sure the sound is carried by the winds over to my end in my little town called colima so i can feel the vibe and energy that will be flowing in that special evening.
Baraka really all my best wishes. Hope u like our fraka vibe. Be sure to look out for our event under the name of collective minds in mexico.

This month's party is dedicated to Pants Paul who passed away recently. Some of you will know him as the crusty hippy with the UV yellow pants and you will have encountered him from Baraka to the Glade, and from most of the major protest sites around the UK. He was a good friend to us and he will be sorely missed. See you on the other side mate
People who knew him are encouraged to wear UV yellow pants over their trouser to this gig! |

This October has something special in store, as we've decided to take Oxford Psy-Trance parties to the next level.
In 1998, Baraka were amongst Oxford's trance parties. Over 120 events and 200 guest artists later Baraka has a growing reputation as one of the UK’s most beloved monthly psychedelic trance parties. Following a series of sell-out events in the summer of 2007, we aim to follow this success in the form of Baraka Records.
Baraka Records will be a social enterprise whose profits are used to support the wide range of artists that perform at the monthly parties. These performers include musicians, DJs, VJs, projectionists, painters and sculptors who come together to create uniquely welcoming and beautiful environments for both dancing and relaxing.
Not only do we have one of the best Chill line ups around, with Ott, Mood Deluxe and our old friend Cosmonaughty, but we've got Dick Trevor and Liquid Ross blowing apart the main room.
