no I do not know you guys personally but can figure out the basics of your organization on the basis of the music you bring to your events.

and yes... when I see organizers bringing artists such as Skazi and Astral Projection I automatically feel that I know 10X more than you fellows. I've been through the process of literally worshiping them, following each track and tour and then landing up at seeing both of them live over the last 2 yrs ... and apart from their music turning pop both Skazi and AP are FAKE artists. The former pretends to play the guitar and the latter plays off their Ipod. Seen it first hand. They're amazing personalities (dont get me wrong there)... but as musicians I have lost all respect for them and the people who book them. Forget Psytrance... It's shameful for any genre of music!!!

good luck with your "music education" and "future vision" ... if this is where you begin I'm scared to ask where you guys are headed.

ok..this is when the "mind your bloody business and let others have fun already" part comes in.

As much as i hate skazi, IM, AP (how did they get in this thread anyway?) i can tell you that i been living in this exact town (Ft. lauderdale) for 3 months now, and i do understand why they are bringing Skazi, and to tell you the truth i dont mind at all, and see it as a good thing...

People were talking about open minded ppl, and music taste...the way i see it (no offences to whoever i offend) ppl in US (and maybe a bit more in Miami), beeing a community closely affected by the media, measure quality by success, and media apperance, and less by artist effort, talent and progressiveness (not the music genre)...

in other words...the popularity attracts ppl more then the quality...

now...we all agree that skazi is 0 quality, and 100 popularity....but you gotta consider the rest of the acts, which could be 0 popularity, but could also easily be 100 quality... but they for sure dont get the same attention as Skazi Mr Pop Star....

to tell you the truth, this party looked like shiny gold when i first read it (mostly cause i drive by 17th everyday, and i been itching myself for some psy-fun =p )and i would love to attend to it...even tho im prolly leaving this weekend...and may, or may not be back by then...

i which the best luck for you Revolution_events folks... and i would love to join a party of yours, maybe next time... =)

Its not a popularity vs. quality issue brasirc. This is an argument for the sake of the art... there is a limited amount of money supporting the psytrance scene and its artists... bookings are one of the only ways that they're making a living these days.

And then come acts that don't do anything on stage... prerecorded and played as "live acts" and then paid ten times more to do it!

Doesn't matter what the music sounds like, point is...

Why are they getting booked?
Why are they getting paid?
Don't you think being a musician deserves some kind of reward or is the 'show' the only important part?

anyway, if thats what you want to support go for it....sure you'll have lots of fun.

yes, indeed...there's so limited amount of money, in some case, so small of a scene, and the interest in the genre is so low...

And by low interest, and short knowledge, a common person who havent listened to skazi when he started, and watched him turn into what he is now, and who doesnt hate him, and other psy (or ex-psy if want so..) artists, cause of their greed and/or cause of an oblique observation of their lack of dedication in their stage performance, might, yes, consider this a real good opportunity to enjoy a nice party, and feel the sweetly danceable style that he heard so many good things about...

So you get those ppl insterested, and when you do get to the party, you notice 1/3 or even 1/4 of the event is actually Skazi "The Infamous" and the rest of the other acts is just as good, and in this situation, prolly better then the act that you came to the event expecting, and guess what....those other acts, some might even be locals... "Hey, those guys are really good! i guess ill show up on more of their parties!!!" would be just a example of a thought that would come by such person's mind...

And that way the scene grows, you get more loyal followers( tranced zombies came in mind with that word...) and more money starts coming in, now you can get those nice acts that has reallllly wicked music but is only known inside the scene to come play, cause you will know there will be a decent amount of ppl that would appreciate it, and also know you would be a happier organizer after the party, and wont have to sell your car to pay all the money you owe later....

and in the end everyone is happy! =)

I agree with brasirc, use the big names to bring them in, then have some kick ass DJ's really tear the place up! Oh, and I would no longer include Infected Mushroom with Skazi and Ap, IM was playing some fast pumping psy when they came to Denver. It was pretty sick. I think they are getting back to their Psy roots, and the new guitarist is way better than than their old one.           AUDIO VIRUS

^ word I agree, when IM were down here in miami in july. Third Ear Syndrome opened for them and completely stole the show. IM were but a shadow of themselves but the crowd really didnt care because it was at pawn shop one of the most trendyest clubs in downtown miami. However I was really happy to see Third Ear stealing the show and making my night. Hopefully this will happen again but I think most of the djs on that lineup dont do psy but do house/club trance... Hopefully Im wrong.

yes im totally agree with brasirc, to book first the big names, to make scene bigger, with local psy djs. specially in small psy scences.

if u look back we've booked, fatali, and analog pussy as well. not just AP, IM, skazi.

chappele last IM show, it was Transoverload, that open to IM. Third Ear Syndrome was closing the night. Transoverload will play again at skazi show.

usually when we combine house/electro djs in the events. those djs are opening the night (10pm - 1am). again to pull more headz to psy music.

its so funny how you guys dedicate hours to write something bad againts to someone who promotes parties and someone who produces that kindda psytrance style as a living way.....

if skazi is that bad why does he still gets booking ?
if you think as a promoter and money wises skazi is a good choice ! smart thinking
dont like the line up? period
or eather put some money together and organize a party then you bring whoever you want !!

best for this event

Ok Im gonna sum up this event in one word, and excuse me those of you who dont know hebrew: "CHUTZPAH" which means alot of nerve whomever decided to charge 40 fucking dollars to see the rockstar, on a thursday night at a mediocre venue that nobody goes to anymore called BeachPlace. I arrived in time to get in line with all the "arsim and arseot" that were there. Of course when you are with a large group of israeli people you can expect the usual people cutting you inline "can i join my friend" and when you look at them like "wtf" they give u a strange look like you are in their way. Anyway back to the event at hand, I get to the door finally and the girl at the register goes "40 dollars please" I started laughing at her face im like "40 dollars for what?! to see Skazi? you must be fucking joking me" so the bouncer trying to look cool grabs my arm and is like "sir please step out of line". So Im standing on the side trying not to laugh at the riddiculesness of the situation when this good looking girl with a clipboard approaches me and asks me for my number for her "list". I started asking her who in god's name would pay 40 dollars to see a has been dj that was good maybe 6 years ago. All of a sudden she's like "oh he's behind you" while Im saying that Skazi isn't worth my 40 dollars sure enough Asher is standing right behind me making a face at me. Asher walks right by me and bumps into my black & mild cigar and gets the amber and ash all over his shirt. One of the funnyest things Ive seen in a while...

Anyways to sum it up, how the hell do you charge 40 dollars for a dj who did not even crack the top 100 in dj mag this year, whilst Yahel did and I payed 25 bucks to see Yahel on a Thursday night at the same venue. I guess there weren't enough "arsem" aound that night to charge a riddiculus cover.

40 bucks for a club party is normal.
especially when you have to pay the headlining act some retardificating amount of money, nevermind the overhead for using the stupid club.

this argument is ridiculous. psy trance is underground. the amount of money spent on this party could have brought hand fulls of underground artists from russia, scando, wherever. this whole "getting people into trance" thing can be accomplished in some much more purified, musically acceptable ways. this is an event that was purely about making a buck, not spreading the trance vibe.

Even though it sounds really funny, sorry you had to endure that experience Chapelle.
So anyway, once inside how was the party? Were the Floridians performing any good?

lol i never made it past the door my friend, 40 dollars is a bit steep for me to see skazi at beachplace on a thursday night. i do not subscribe to rape i know what skazi is worth and hes not worth 40 thats for sure.
