so, can you guys give us a listing of your fav clubs in South Africa? anything but Jo-burg though, it can get worse than here in israel  jk

Clubs in Cape Town..
Well there aren't many trance clubs in Cape Town..
but the ones that there are seem to be really cool during the winter time when we can't really have any outdoor parties.
Getafix and Mandorla are the only 2 real trance clubs that I know of..
Getafix has been around for years and is well known all around South Africa for having a really friendly and jivy atmosphere!!!
They've thrown some really kick-ass parties there..
Mandorla has only been around for about a year.. I think and it's also nice and cosy...
Not many real big party nights there... as mostly people go there to chill out......
but when they do get some good local acts and dj's in there ... it's slamming!!!!

Yeah....
I've been trying my best to get some fellow South Africans onto this forum ......
But they're all too lazy!!!!!
They're already part of 2 other South African Forums..... and they don't see the point of coming here too.
I hope and pray that a lot of South Africans who are abroad and not based in SA will come around here and do a bit of posting..
but hey....
We can only hope!

Nope, but i have a very good ZA bud from C-town, who's living in london now, spining hard house and Uplifting techno and Nu-NrG

I've spoken to a lot of people who have travelled the world.. and gone to parties in Israel, Mexico, Australia, Europe.... all over the world...
It seems that Mexico and SA get rated pretty high in a lot seasoned part-goers books!
So.. come down man!!!
I don't think the airplane ticket is that expensive!!

he used to spin in a big club in boksberg and another one in the cape, don't recall their names, but he told me that the one in C-town had three levels each.
Btw, is the alcazar still open?

Congrats to the new SA forum moderator [ its by time - you spend so much damn time on these forums anyway!! ]
And Ghost really wanted to meet you at the last Safari. Wanted to thank you personally for the cds you sent! Are you a dj? No- why the hell not!! You seem to know every inch of every song!!
ZA Trance Clubs in itslef is a paradox! We here in ZA ( more Cape Town ) are so accustomed to outdoor trance that bringing it indoors is sacriligious(spelling?). Hot and steamy with concrete beneath your feet is no where near the fresh outdoors with grass inbetween your toes!!

i'm just a full on trance addict, i can only dream about being a dj, i also would like to create my own digital elektronic frequencies (my acronym for trance) like what you guys do. I've listened to ApsyDrop's & Nubble's creations & am really impressed. okay i'll stop being shy & meet you guys at the next gathering...ooh can't wait. |
