Hey!

I'm really curious. Is trance and psychedelic are mostly for young people and teenagers, or there are some old people listening to it too??? (when i say "old" i don't mean 80 years old lol)

So tell me from your experience...

I'm 17, my father kinda likes trance, but I don't think he really understands it.

Raja Ram, one of trance's most famus DJs and producers, is 62 years old.

Also, Goa Gil, one of Goa's most famus DJs is 50+ I think

most trance lovers are young (15-25). but there are always exception.
although i don't see myself not liking trance in like 10 years (unless the music will go to directions i don't like) but only time will tell.

Ask yourself one question : Listening to music has anything with age?

the question is NO
you can listen to music whenever you want...
people who listen to psytrance just love it...
there are young ones , there are old ones and there are the ones between em...
you dont have an age limit on music u know
LOL

the only connection with the young age of the audience might be that the culture haven't been around for too many decades. That's my point of view anyway. People who grew up with it haven't been able to get so many years behind themselves. And some of the old ones who listen to it are old hippies from goa.           "I don't really come from outer space, I'm not crazy!"

there isnt much of a connection, i remember seeing 50+ ppl on an astral show, and they sure knew how to party...
and as gilad said, i dont see myself disliking trance 10 yrs from now (im 18), and i hope i wont, ever...
more than that, i hope o play my music someday... (Fantasy ).

Never mind. i'm drifting.
anyway, the answer - most definatly not.

I agree with you... That must be this. I mean, there are old guys who still like psychedelic, they listen to it since they were young. But I don't think, that at the age of 40 you can suddenly start to like psychedelic... you listen to something you liked when you were young. hehehe (I'm talking about my parents lol)

Hey hey hey…
I’m a bit older than 25 and I’m still very much into trance, if not more than ever.
It has nothing to do with age. When u’ll go to an outdoor party girl u will see that there 16 years old as well as 26 years old.
Trance is more than music, it’s a way of life, this is why it unites everybody, regardless of age, sex, race etc.
I’ve seen many times 40 year old ppl digging in parties. It’s great to see that. It shows u that there are very open minded ppl.

age doesnt have anything to do with it, even though i dont see people above 50 developing a taste for psy very easily...           ....good fudge comes on slow!!!

Tell that to my parents, and tell that to me as well for not listening to their music.
