I have always liked the Uhbik-P phaser from U-he. Way less CPU useage than Phase Mistress and I get better results quicker personally though I'm sure that's because I've invested more time in learning the U-he one.

been especially liking the phaser on the bass, oddly enough. picked up the tip from Lyctum/TesseractStudios.

Thats an interesting one.Do you slap the phaser on specific frequencies or just on entire bass channel?
Special settings you use if one might ask ? (also use Uhbik-P,so it's details or ok ).           From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

Nice tip!
I was just gonna say 'this sounds soo much like Lyctum', before I read (a few posts above) the tip originally came from him

yup its a huge part of the lazery lyctum bass sound. when I first heard it at a party I was convinced it was a second layer with completely different filter/pitch envelope or something.

U-He doin magic tricks again.            If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe

What's weird though is that my bass with Uhbik P on top sounds much deeper and louder, yet the meters jumps down by 2 db's.

I wonder if a Phaser, in a similar way we're discussing here was used to make this awesome deep (and wide) bass:
