I have always liked the Uhbik-P phaser from U-he. Way less CPU useage than Phase Mistress and I get better results quicker personally though I'm sure that's because I've invested more time in learning the U-he one.
been especially liking the phaser on the bass, oddly enough. picked up the tip from Lyctum/TesseractStudios.

and haha yes it makes me wana cry wen i wana get really intense with phase mistress "hence the thread" ...on a 2.2 single core Athlon 64, 3gig of ram it can hurt it .....i love it so much tho

u he one is cool too ! when i demoed a fews some time ago i liked it.
i never noticed phase mistress is cpu heavy, not a bug? maybe i never used enough instance to notice it but this plug is old its surprising |

the one is mashine is also decent imo, logic one too
depend if you are after more lush/analog or more early digital sound..

Pretty much all the SoundToys plugins IMO are CPU heavier than counterparts from other synth companies like U-He. Crystallizer, Decapitator, Phasemistress are the biggest ones but they're not prohibitively CPU intense if you have a good system...though I haven't used them in a while as I reach for other plugs at the moment.

all the effects in Maschine except from the verbs are descent, love the Bitcrusher on the LOFI, also one of the better flangers around as well |
