im new at this. I usually buy my cds so im not up to date with the unreleased tracks day by day i hear of. I was just wondering, how come people, for example people from the top 10 forum, have access to listen to this unreleased tracks. I myself am a dj, and would like to show the audience whats up with the new psytrance coming out. So tell me how can i buy or listen to this new music.

You need to sit on soulseek all day, trying to trade with sneaky cut-throat teenagers who have MP3s of unmastered demo material.

Or be a friend of a friend of a friend of an artist or label A&R.

Has all the latest releases, you can purchase and they'll send it to you in Mexico in less than two days.

The music people post in the top tens falls into a few different categories. Some of them are posted by artists or labels to give people an idea of what's going to be released by them or what they're working on - a bit of a taster. You have to wait for that music to be released, but it's nice to know what's coming. Some people post top tens of tunes they've found on the internet. The life of the unreleased trader is pretty miserable and I wouldn't recommend going down that path, and besides, it's extremely disrespectful to the artists.

Stick to buying the music when it comes out. It's easier, and it's better for the scene. You can still be a great DJ with the freshest released music. If you want unreleased music, start getting into production.

you want unreleased music
So do I

but if your a dj or have a passion for this music would you relinquish your self from quality to play some shite mp3 music which is neither story nor good quality for the people so that they may piss on the story u make

everyone is always so Horny for unreleased music

the story is like this
Unreleased music that is good is released in a short time so before you know it there is a phat quality killer track you will be the first to have.

Check with Psyshop, saikosounds, wirikuta etc

you must remember that there is loads of unreleased music out there
and most of it is not released for a reason

another reason good tracks dont get released is because everyone has the track before it is released and record labels will not release it

so the trade of unreleased music is killing the scene for sure

and shame on the artist who send there music around everywhere and then expect record companies to buy their tracks. Shame on the traders who get new tracks and send them further

this is a vicous circle
and it leads to the depths of hell

once the unreleased comes in you want more and more, till one day you will come to a point where a track is made and you receive same day.

and you want more and more until one day you are envyloped by digital wires, your life has gone no where but aha you have the music which say maybe one% of World Population enjoys, and the drugs have canned your world

so what now

To be honest why bother go for unreleased music? It's just a trend for those that need it to boost their ego's - The wannabe's and fake DJ's.
A good DJ dont need all the unreleased music. He/she need to dig up released music that other haven't found yet and to play music regardless of age

Thats why it's so important that DJ's actually go to record shops and look through the gems hiding there. There's a whole music world to be disvovered in a record shop.

In my opinion it's gone too far with all the unreleased music that everyone seem to run after and if I could have a saying the top 10 section would be much better moderated

Couldn't say it better !!! I just can't understand this crappy thing of unreleased race while a lifetime is not enough to listen to all the released music...

This is the true challenge !

Well said Evil Doc and EP , great wisdom friends.

But it doesnt just apply to DJs, if you are a real music lover, you want to have the original CD anyway cause then you feel more CONNECTED to the artist

to be short..........
you need very good connections or to be a very good freind of an artist......more then that u can forget about it......soul seek is full of shit.....fake music fake people.....every one there thinks they have unreleased.....they have shit........no artist will take the chance to burn his work and spread his music to those lame traders.......you have very good compilation going out very often.....take a look they kick ass............

well unreleased stuff just has great value to people only till its unreleased.......once it gets released the track loses importance......

people even like Shitty tracks when they are unreleased. i think it mainly an ego thing or telling other people they have unrelased stuff with them

and all i have to say bout soulseek is that most of the stuff being 'labelled' as unreleased is FAKE and of really bad quality

bOm shiva!!!

a real DJ dont need unreleased music to rock the party. People who comment like ,"ahh hez playing all old stuff.." are not there for enjoying party but to compare and comment. Feel sorry for them. One who has come to enjoy ......enjoys it anyway.. new tracks are always some new fun .. new pattern in the scene.. all you got to make sure is you get them moving either along with you or move yourself along with them..and the party is successful.

Dont understand what one gotta prove from playing unreleased tracks and be the first to have them played in the party.           "Its all in your mind..but its all about your heart :)"
