The review:

Time for the fifth full length album by these two maniacs from Greece. And let me tell you beforehand: this is a storming release! If you liked previous Wizzy outings, you'll absolutely love this. In Stereo Electric we could already hear the guys trying some electro influences in some tracks, but this album takes that to mature levels. Track 1 is pretty standard Wizzy fare, with dark pads and an uplifting feel to it. Seven deadly sins is next and that one just blew me away when I heard it for the first time. This is friggin' excellent! The changing bassline, the samples, the pads... Yeahhh! Great track. Track 3 continues in that vein and has a nice melodic break near the end. Track 4 is well known from the single, but this is the guitar version. This isn't apparent until the last minutes of the track though, and otherwise it's pretty much standard Wizzy stuff. Track 5 uses conga's (gee, with that name I'd never guess) and it's good. Solid stuff. Track 6 acts like a behemoth alright, but still this has a melodic influence that Wizzy didn't have some time ago. Radiotek is more standard Wizzy stuff and rips up the dancefloor nicely. Overvoltage is a strange one here. It sounds like Conga Fury from Juno Reactor with orchestral like influences. A souped up BPM here does the trick and it all sounds massive. Pity it's a bit short though. Tubeless is another Wizzy driver, and has a melodic break again near the end. Great stuff. Track 10 sounds more tranquil, even proggy like in some parts. Finally, the last track is more electro like with regular drums instead of a bassdrum. Not bad for a finisher.

Conclusion time: Well, it's a smasher. I wouldn't have expected this from Wizzy Noise, as I thought Stereo Electric (the 4th album, released on Spun) was less than Elecktro Theater (released on Candyflip and the 3rd album). This one is up to par with the 3rd one IMO though, and in some places even surpasses that one. So, I'd say if you're a Wizzy fan, this is an essential purchase. Everyone else that's looking for some full-on like music with darker influences and just great musicianship... well, try it!! Highly Recommended.

Well... Strange album but good. Fisrt track contains recreated sequences from Personal Jesus by Depeche Mode. Just other trackname. Personal Sabotage.

I heard only Epocwave and it's a blast! The end is so powerful!
Can't wait to hear the whole album, I'll try to make a full review of it as soon as I get it.
Congratulations Wizzy!

Wizzy Noise are back again with a new album... to tell you the truth I didn't have high hopes for this one since they have been constantly dissapointing me ever since Cyclotron and made me actually want to puke with the GMS-clone sound on Stereo Electric . However this time around they deliver a pretty nice sound. It's morning trance all the way (wierd for a group that started their career by establishing a reputation in making nighttime trance... but hey times change I guess). But it's not the cheezy morning trance type that they delivered last time around, now they have a more individual sound. and it's also more "wilder" and energetic and... less full-on like...

Don't really feel like track-by track commenting (too tired ) but I can tell you that this is for me their best effort since Cyclotron (even on par or better? but I'd have to give this a few more listens for this) 8.5/10

faves: 2, 3, 8, 10 (beautifull downtepo track!)

PS. Does anyone find a STRONG resemblance between Overvoltage and Juno's Conga Fury ? What's up with that?           “I think I've discovered the secret of life - you just hang around until you get used to it.”

I think this album - remixes to various (ha-ha-ha) artists. Depeche Mode, Juno Reactor - who else will find more resemblances?

Massive album, love everything about it. The last track could have been longer though - definitely one of my favourites, along with Congee and Behemoth!

I wasn't expecting much from this album but i actually thought it was ok. Some of the tracks DO sound almost litigiously familiar though, especially the title track! Are Depeche Mode getting royalties?           Am i the only one who believes in solipsism?
