Good point. I agree; DJ-oriented music shops should provide this information.

Well at beatport, if you download beatport sync (a player) when you listen to the song it calculates the BPM.

Oh yeah, god forbid if things would actually be made easier!

I think it's a good idea. I rarely check for BPM when I scroll through tunes to buy though, but I think it could be a useful feature for many.

yeah it must be only me.. i dont care for year of realese also.. all it has to be is good music.

could be nice to not even mention year? how people would buy then.. just by quality

i will dj it if i think its good and check the bpm first to make things easier for me on the set yes but....

i wouldnt like to think it will effect someone to buy or not..

not bpm .. not popularity.. not year... only the quality of the music content and the sound

Well then, why not exclude artist-name, track-name and label as well? Just a long list of unknown tracks without titles - just numbers           DJ pr0fane (Iboga Records) | Multiphase

slightly offtopic :

Artists should release a 78 min long live mix. like dj set ,an artist set with a catchy title. no track titles. just one long mix. would make things a lot more interesting . An album featuring 9 mixed tracks gradually building the bpm to carve out a story would be so much more better than 9 disjoint tracks IMO           missing plug-in

Maybe... but DJs are the main buyers... and we don't want anything premixed.

I guess you should so like in the old days and train your ears to guess the bpm. Don't worry it takes some time but you get there and then you don't even think about the bpm you just pitch it perfectly with your ears...

my 2 cents
