ok,few names of techy trance producers that will make u smile (i hope) [bt - i ment techno, not tech trance, but if u want i can prove about tech trance also] - kinetico/ massimo vivona (thas both projects by same man), synchro, plug&time, chris zeppel, frequenzberater, amphasis, slugger, alegria, magnat. thats a few.
and techno is much more than trance interpritation of it.

The problem with acts like Techtrance in general is that it goes outside the 'classic' trance philosophy. Agressive to the bone, doesn't try to go easy on the listener but rather makes the listener work hard. There are certain amounts of tightness / pressure in the sound, and techtrance is very high on those marks. And it's a lot less random than most full-on.
But, techtrance still hasn't evolved enough - it has nothing to offer story-wise compared to quality progressive (Shiva Chandra, Electric Universe, Haldolium... well, basically the German progressive acts. I like them a lot), nothing emotional like classic trance (with a few exclusions of course, X-Dream - Rewind for instance), and in terms of simple "let's dance" rating - full-on still beats it.
It's a great concept, and it's the best music to start a party with, but agression isn't enough to keep me dancing an entire party.

my experiences was that the people seemed to me like getting overrolled from the storm of sound it was too much and too heavy and mostly all people seemed like that they dont knew what happened to them ...
yes maybe i just dont thought about a more softly presentation of this heavy sound ..i just put one bomb on the other and the pressure was building so much up that it was too much ... one guy told me that he thought it was hardcore techno ( lol ) it was a party with about 350 people ... it took its way untill just a few people were dancing ... and then i thought "man you cant do that " "its a party ---no war" ... then i turned into well known german morning stuff like bitmonx... haldolium and stuff like this .. and the people returned to the dancefloor and smiled bright over the face... i played over 7 hours so i began at 1:00 in the night and i thought its a good thing to push out this heavy monster stuff and do some damage before i feed the people with more lovelier stuff ... anyway it was an crazy experience ... next time ill fix it right ... and wont push it too hard ...
p.s - its funny to me that people write about son kite in this situation but anyway thx for all your opinions bros/sis/fellas/dudes

exactly rotor, im not dj to say ya "do it and do that" but as dancers with longtime expirience i can add that if u want to explode the floor with hard stuff (no matter if its tech/full sound) u have to build the things up. slow and smart. its the only way.put bombs one after another its boring, nobody exept u will play it. there is alot techy trance from 136 bpm to 150 bpm, use the variety. build it up and cut trax as more as u can. and whenu already up and bomb all around, dont forget put there and there some break and some more atmospheric thing, this way i belive more pp, will dance to your set.

yeah, techtrance is about building pressure gradually, if you pound people too hard they just won't be able to handle it... A frog will immediately jump out if you put it in a pot of boiling water. But if you put him in the cold water and slowly boil it, he'll stay there to the very end. In case of techtrance, I think that's a nice metaphor

btw - james monroe for "hot" example from my last weekend expirience played 2 hours of progressive trance ala north germans clubbers taste (and mine also) and then moved to extremaly harsh techno tribal sound and clubbers (party was in most commerzial and most nottrance place in israel) got it and nobody left the floor. and he played about 1.5 hours of realy heavy techno trance, but its sounded very right and kinda french hard house feeling.

Hello out there ..
Techtrance is simply hard to understand imo ..
hard sound is a question of relativity and i think some skazi-bombs are harder to listen and understandable for the dance-function as some trax of spirallianz (which made the best techtrance till now imo)
on big pa-systems with people which are dancin since 3 hours (and i mean really 3 hours)
its the perfect cinematic sound. it dont sounds
hard at this time... its soft and lightly and very psychedelic because ur body is flashed and danced into the lovely elastic-feeling we try to get
on floors.
