hi
i believe most of the people in here are artists in some way or the other. some are dj's, audio engineers, trance artists, trance art etc . my question to you(whoever is reading this post) is: why do you do what you do? why did you choose to do what you are doing?
i gotto be working on a statement of purpose to get into a music school and i think the inputs will be helpful.

peace

Man, your question is very difficult to answer to some guys... cause i think there is many people that born in the half of the trance music and artists, so, almost of them going to be artist and a good audio engineers cause they have somebody to teach him, cause they live in the half of news, parties and other things that happen in the trance scene...

On the other side, the guys that don't have much contact with eletronic music , going to be an artist cause he have curiosity about how to make music and cause, i think, it's very amused make tracks.... put ur criativity and psychodelic
experience in a music can be a very nice way to have a comfortable professional life!

Now about be a trance art... well... i didn't meet nobody that make this to try to explain to u... why they do this... i don't know!

i wait be help u!

regards.

thanx for ur comments. i wanna be into this profession because unlike other things in life, music is an area not defined by precise rules, principles and axioms and therefore there is tremendous scope for self expression. it is exact science

LOL - reminds me on the cover of the Prodigy album "Jilted Generation". Fuck off, government.

But that's a hard task you've been charged yourselve with. Getting Americans, British and Iraquis dance together? Or Israelis and Palestines? Well, the latter I saw, but the first? Remember, war isn't fought between equal opponents anymore, it's always a much stronger and richer against a much weaker and poorer. And I think the facility of dancing to psy music is a huge luxury. Maybe not so expensive than a decent SUV, but there remains the question if that oil sucking monster really is a luxury or not just a pest. Anyway, psytrance may not require too much money, it requires peace and a certain stability that those regions in the world that are actual casualties of war just don't have.

But it would be so nice. Sometimes I think I should just go to my fuckin government in Berlin, set the whole Bundestag on acid and then treat them with huges amounts of sound, just so they could learn a thing or two...

I love humanity but I hate people.

as long as you make music,... cause if you're going into fullon, if you come up with one strange sound that is not "standart psy" the public is all over you and not in a good way...
if you wanna make trance and steel keep your creational freedom, aim high like few artists do. like eskimo for example, most of his musical influences are far from psy, but he got the brain to get into every line-up in the world and not just psyparties.
i for once try to take one advice very seriously "dont work, have fun with it instead" im not sure if those were the words , but it was something like that and so far people have liked my vjing...
and i fear the day when i'm gonna have to work           DeluDe on www.divinemusictribe.com
