I know there are organisers and promoters, dj's and what not surfing these forums..
So why hasn't PsyCraft been to SA shores yet?
&
How can we get them here, they have a huge following and yet they not being booked?
Can we make this an reality..*cough* Easter Vortex *cough* is arround the corner... |

i think you gotta understand the logic behind the SA promoters
they will only put their money on sure thinsg
like Skazi and Infected Mushroom
--thast why you have seen them again and again cause the promoters know that at the end of the day the crowds will come and they will make their money
It costs a small fortune for a SA party company to rbing an act down and for that they have to be sure they can make good on their investment
If you guys really wanna see these acts start saving and skip vorts and AS and the rest and do one International festival a year
(i know if sounds impossible but i have seen loads of saffas at European festivals) , at that one festival you will see enough acts for the next 10 years worth of vorts no BS
So think about it

i sorta disagree with that.. nowadays people in sa dnt really give a shit whos playin. if theres a big trance party with the names "vortex" or "alien safari" u can be assured that it will be a very good turn out. 90% of the crowd goin to the parties now dont even knw who half tha artists are! nobody knows who tha hell son kite is here.. nobody knows who dj bim is either.and they frankly cant give a shit. but i can assure u easter vortex is gonna be huge! sa is gettin more and more in need of diversity at the parties.. and i really think the promoters can pull it off if they tried! howz about someone from doof records for a nite set?? or maybe someone from dragonfly for a daytime set.. phew! dare i ask! none tha less!!! i love south africa!!  respect peeps! my 2 cents worth.. |

if i had the choice between 10 parties with average artists and one party with the most killer line-up i'd go for the ten parties... so sparx i disagree... the parties can't all be about who's playing.. as much as i love an incredible live act.. in the end we have some amazing local acts anyway... i do recommend the european fests yes... they are a mind blowing experience... but in the end to be so picky about who is playing would be to forsake the million other factors that make outdoor trance the most treasurable experience on this planet... the people, the nature, the dancing, the atmosphere, the view, etc etc etc...

well i love being able to see major international acts and some of them theyre in the most beautifull settings with amazing people
the dancing the atmosphere the view at some of them are equal to our even better than SA parties
Dont get me wrong i been going to vorts and AS since 96 and i am can safely say they quality of music( and thats what this thread is about - fresh blood at SA parties) at the international festivals is way out of SA league
so maybe my original point got lost and that was if you want to see acts like psycraft dont wait for vortex to bring them down find out whta international theyre playing at and go ....... you wont regret it |

if people dont care what acts theyre seeing then why are all these users on this thread requesting new talent to come to sunny SA shores ??
acts like son kite , dtek , ghreg on earth m goa gil etc
they do care about who theyre seeing i think you give the SA crowd too little credit for musical knowledge |
