Hi, I'm Stan living in Montreal (originally from Russia). I am studying in Math and Philosophy and just living life to the fullest. My pasttimes other than psy include reading, great conversations, a very significant other, and other ways of expanding my consciousness.

A: If I was in a position where I was looking for someone's advice (meaning that I myself would be undecided on an issue), I would definitely trust a professional's advice more than a random person's. "Modern" medicine, however, is not the best example of so-called professionals knowing what they are doing, but a car mechanic eg. would definitely get full freedom of operation if I had a car.

Q: Can we ever fully grasp (as a whole) something that is real?           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.

can we grasp if something is real?...

A: yes (shaking head).
Actually, no (nodding)

What's up everybody. Great thread.
My name is Max, 24, I live in PA (1 hour north of Philly) and I'm moving to Northern California in July.
Hobbies: T'ai Chi, Go, Skydiving, Meditation.
Books: anything Noam Chomsky, Dali Lama, and Stranger in a Strange Land is my favorite novel. But I'll read just about anything.

Q: why did Infected Mushroom SUCK in NYC?
Okay, that one was rhetorical. No response needed. But I felt like crying after leaving Avalon.
For real...how do you resolve Contradiction?

Hello! My name is Jayme and I`m a 27 year old Taurus who likes long walks on the beach and a man who loves his mother and isn`t afraid to cry. But seriously..I`m a psychology grad from Montreal and am now putting that degree to good use(?) by teaching English in Japan. In my spare time I enjoy being outside, listening to music, studying Japanese, travelling, playing taiko(japanese drum..I suck tho), reading (I`m a Dune geek), cooking and secretly harbouring fantasies of being a Shaolin master.

A: According to some psychology theory I vaguely recall, we sometimes eliminate the contradiction by changing our opinions(ie: you decide you`re not THAT in love and go to cali OR you decide that cali sucks and go be with your girl.) But in reality, there`s usually some pain and suffering involved until time heals all and the contradiction melts away..or does it?

Q: Chocalate or vanilla?

Hi my name is Lena, I am 23 from Orebro Sweden, but here now on an internship for some months. As my name shows I like to dance with pois and practice with fire pois at outdoor parties (not that good yet). I love Swedish trance acts especially Artax and Logic Bomb.

A: Vanilla is the best not a doubt about that!

Q: Cats or Dogs?

Shammy from Mumbai @27 - currently serving the devil through a software consulting firm. My hobbies other than psytrance are Sports: basketball, football, rock climbing etc. Reading (sometimes), Music production (I suck and i still find this stuff addictive), chillin out wid my buddies over a glass of Beer and ofcourse last but not least Watching movies.

To answer your question funk:
I think the newer generation is very good as was the oder generation - although I do feel that their reasons for getting into the music are a little less earnest as compared to the older guys. BytheWay - I consider astrix to part of the newer generation - but that must mean that I am old .

My name is Dorian. My friends call me Turner for short(last name) or DT. I am 23 years old and from new orleans, but attend school in miami. Most of my spare time is spent listening to electronic music these days due to my school schedule. My majors are electrical engineering and pure mathematics. When I'm not studying, I'm doing the following:

-Going out with friends
-Playing video games
-Watching television
-Trying to explore new things I've never discovered before(I consider electronic music to be one of the greatest discoveries of my life. Too bad I began discovering it two years ago. Well, at least i'm here)
-Taking nice naps

One of my biggest fascinations, probably almost as equal as electronic music all together, is the oriental woman. I don't know why, but I'm extremely fascinated by them. This fascination has been like this for a long time. Their very beautiful, nice, exotic, and all other types of strange shit that I love about them. Hopefully, I'll marry one in due time .

My fascination with oriental women and electronic music is what people have found extremely weird-o about me. To me, however, this weird-o-ness is what makes me an "individual"

YES! Another math person. Are you a graduate student?

If so, then did you consider abstract algebra and real analysis difficult?? I have to take these in the fall.

A: The giving back is loving the oceans like loving your mother. You cannot give back to your mom without your love, and she'll be happy. Likewise, mother nature will be happy too if you love her.

Hi, My name is Dai. 2years and half in the US. I'm a international student from Japan, and also I'm a DJ. I love my friends, music, nature, reading, cooking, movie, and my GF. PSY scene here really impressed me, helped me to get to a certain point where I could never reached in Japan, and even changed my life. I love the scene here.

Q:I know it sounds weird but do you think fish can feel pain??
Tell me what you listen, and I'll tell you what you are.

A: I really liked playing with legos when I was a kid. I had like a thousand different sets, and I used to build some crazy shit with it. A couple of months ago a friend of mine bought his nephew a 100$ set or something for Christmas with the castle and dungeon and dragons and cannons, drawbridge and all that good stuff. His nephew looked at it and wasn't really interested so he brought it home and we built the whole damn thing in about 12 hours over three days. It was about as concentrated as I've ever been I think, but we had an awesome time doing it. The next day his bratty little nephew came over and threw it on the floor and then started stomping on it! That little punk!

Anyway, I'm turning 22 in about 2 weeks. I live in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida right now for the summer, and I'll be moving to Amsterdam to study for a semester there in August. I love playing basketball, watching basketball, writing about basketball and talking about basketball, which is why I was afraid to enter that Go Lakers! thread for fear of scaring some of you . You probably haven't seen much of me over the past 4 months, cause I've been working my ass off writing and scouting for a website I started and if things continue to go well I should be working for an NBA team next season.

My Q is: What is the city you've visited or lived in that you like the most? Same question for the city you dislike the most?
          Both teams played hard

Hey Apocalypse...so your down with lego's too? to bad you aren't in California this summer- there was actually a job posted on a local site for someone to build legos with kids..... it was paying at $15+ an hour!!! Who would have thought those long hours building the lego forts would pay off? hehehe

Anywho...so my name is *christine* ...I am 24 and live in the Santa Cruz Mountains, in the infamous, trance mansion, with my bf, aeon, and a bunch of other beautiful trance freaks :0) Aside from being a psytrance dj/radio show host, I enjoy painting/drawing (I have a organic psychedelic style) & will be going back to school this fall to finish my BFA. In the mean time I have been working fulltime; selling cyber/goth clothes on ebay....so if you ever see me and wonder where my crazy outfits come from... the secrets out! I will never be a slave to the 9-5 again, I swear, everyone should do this...there is nothing better that making your own hours, listening to psytrance, and smoking goodies while you work...

A: So I think I can answer both your questions in one......So the city I have lived in the most/longest is Seattle, I love it, but it's one of those love/hate relationships- it's beautiful, there is ton's of stuff to do, it's clean, and the people are pretty down to earth (not to mention for a smaller US town it has a pretty decent psytrance family)! In the same boat, it's also the COLDEST & most DEPRESSING place that I ever lived...9 months without seeing the sun & when it does come out it doesn't even warm you body- arrgghhh so frustrating-did you know they have actual parties in the snow there, I played one, it was insane- I lived there my whole life and never got used to it. BRRRRR.... hence why I moved down south Give it 5-10 years- global warming will have surely kicked in and the psy scene should be overflowing But for now I am loving this warm sunny California weather...speaking of.....

I am undergraduate, but these courses depend heavily on the professor teaching them in a given semester. Abstract algebra is one of the most interesting courses you will ever have and Real Analysis is all about a different way of thinking. They are probably considered more difficult by most people than more applied courses, but if you pay attention, you can definitely get through it. The later analysis courses, though...
And I didn't do much algebra (just 2 courses)           Load Universe into Cannon. Aim at Brain. Fire.
