i have to agree. use to be better, before when the parties weren't so big. Not that they are bad now but there's is much more people and as an artist i guess you see more people don't dancing than dancing.. Also there's a kind of mentality where the ones that dance wild and crazy are looked and laughed out, so most of the people decides to hang around during hours and hours rolling joints and taking drugs without "swet them out " . Last time i played in Portugal was with silicon sound and we spend most of the night trying to figure out why this kind of behaviour.. at the end of the day i can understand why he was playing there for one reason only (they pay him for that !!) .
A few monthts later we meet in another party in Wien (Austria) and this time we had a great night ! I dont know why but it is like that in Portugal and yes there are great parties as well but in my opinion it could be much better!!

humm..i really don´t think so..the last party i went, i saw people runin like crazy on the dancefloor..
u know, we have people that are more chilled in terms of parties, others like to run and jump, others...etc etc..but the main perspective i have from our portuguese crowd, is that they move..and move alot..
and it can pass like the dj´s..some jump..others don´t..depends on the mood, the age..           ...

well, for me is also dificult to say more about this as i live in holland. my main point was that generaly from the artist point of view, the first impression is that most people dont dance, but also that impression might come from the fact of the portuguese scene beeing so big and due to this fact much more people come to a party. I mean whats the average audience for a nice outdoor party? 1000 persons or more, no? compared to other scenes its more dificult to feel to "whole" content, i guess.. but not impossible

PLUR !!

Keita, thx for updating with the numbers. Just one more thing about the "best dj award" .... i think there are a lot of good dj's in portugal and also a lot of good dj's from portugal which are not in portugal...

To judge which one is the best you have the dance club "experts" that as everybody knows elected Dj Pena the best portuguese dj (tree years after each other, i think, not sure about this one..) shall we really relly on these judgements ??

Anyway i think its all a question of taste, somehow they are all good (except for the ones that cant really mix !!! sorry!)and for sure Pena also haves is bad sets once in while like any other dj. So for me its really hard, we have so much dj's ... i'm also dj'iing already since 1997 and at the end of the day that doesn't even matter. I've played with and heard some very good dj's in portugal as i've heard in other countries.

Dj's like Logic, Ganje, Fluxo and Dio are good. Also heard Pena lots of times and, yes he is a good dj. Jonhy-e is also a good dj altought i dont realy like the music he plays. I'm sure there's more people (like Surya Namascar, which everybody tell's me is so good and still didn't had the chance to listen) outhere playing so good.

Now what requesits you need to fulfill to be part of a "selection" from which the best portuguese dj will be elected?

lol !!!

I also agree very much with that, it is a queston of taste in the long run (ao fim ao cabo ) And i think with some replys on this Thread people tend to not respect one and others opinions.. And are too Quick to make judgement. Chill

Its all tastes, Wich one is better or worse is impossible to determin We are all different

Keep it plur guys

Record us a DVD, step by step how to dance trance tope... eheheh (go to belgium they are really wild too)

But I see your point people are trapped inside their minds...
people look to other's and laugh...and don’t dance and close their eyes like some years ago...

The public is changing... the minds... the drugs...

Let’s wait until boom to get some fresh air on this polluted weekend party routine...

see ya           Hatha yoga, body and mind balanced...

I didn't say people don't know how to dance i just said people don't dance at all in some partys ...

...and when i said to sy000321 about going to a squat party in London i meant the diferent persons and cultures we can find in one of those partys... and i can tell you that: the vibe, energie and dance is F*ck&ng killer!!

And like Snikers said i think the people are more consevetive in Portugal and if you start to dance a bit more wild you'll have "that" other's people look...

Wow or I really never noticed this or really never gave a shit!!! ... I think someone worrying is just as bad as the ones who laugh or notice. lolol, I mean. its a psytrance party afterall not a salsa ballroom concert.

I think squat partys in london are really nice, but there more agressive and party tenstion is way higher, as violence happens more... not so much in the psytrance scene but its a bit crazy sometimes.

Its like here in new york city i like the vibe alot and alot more ppl go wild and dance at partys, but u have to take something in mind..

In portugal 5000 ppl go to partys in a single time London(squat) and Nyc What 100-300 ppl if so? some times doesnt even hit 100, So it seem like alot more ppl are dancing to the eye

Miss portugal mates be back end of this year!!! BOom to all
