Hey brother, I just read your topic, yes sr. Very good, it is always a good initiative and a great help to the organization, in my opinion the best festival worldwide ... here is my opinion ... boom is considered one of the biggest events worldwide, not only by quality and quantity of music, but also for its culture that it has developed or has developed over time ... I would like to see how there is now much variety of music and many parts ... a greater variety of artists in my watching both national and internacional.SEGURANÇA, is a subject that never needed to mention and which now mention, because there is already festive atmosphere that was in
98/99 ', but there certainly was joy spirit thing missing these days from now, and rest for the next boom 2008 advise ace people bring much joy and much goodwill of dancing and learning culture ...

Be sure that if you're after the next big thing in the world of music, Boom will know it. There will be a new music area for diverse genres such as dubstep or minimal (no new rave nor mainstream music folks!).

I know Salvia that a lot of Festivals are "opening" their doors to other music styles, which is fine by me. Though you cannot deny that it kills the vibe a bit...
Moreover Boom, and i was in all of them, is/was something precious in the heart of psy-culture and i really dont relate Electro for example, to this culture (in terms of music because actually Electro doesnt exist as a culture itself).
I hope at least they put diferent stages in the festival so the shock is less...

like it or not ellon , will be alot of minimal and electro in the boom fest as i say before , a lot of people think this music is psychedelic including boom team and i think your intolerance kill the vibe.

No intolerance here just sharing a regret, thats all....
I dont know if a lot a people think of Electro or Minimal as psycadelic....i know i dont!!! And this is not based on stuborness or itolarance, its just how i feel it...and im just sharing it.
The BoomTeam as reponsibles of the concept of Boom do what they think its best for them and for the festival...no matter what i or you want or think. And in the end there is always the possibilty to choose to go or not...
But also, wether you agree or not, the music in psycadelic culture is not only a sound track. A lot of psy-heads "uses" it for...lets call it "travelling"!!! In my opinion and maybe in someone else`s, the end of a psy set and the beginning of an electro set just kills the ride...the vibe!!!!
Nevertheless, live and let live. Im not gonna start a petition against it, as i said im just sharing a regret, thats all.
But watch out with your intolerance set upon other people`s view on the subject...

the point is, some people don't think it's psychedelic, some others (a lot of others) think it is. psychedelic is not a straight concept.
but i'm sure it will be a different stage for this kind of music (even though last year we got electro at the dancefloor in the afternoon).. and that's where i'll be when full on starts every morning

your regrets are my hopes.
And i believe that if Boom team would make a wise decision on including electro/minimal/tech to the event, since its clearly a developing style among the listners of psy music, and if they are in Brasil, its impossible to miss it, or to just close your eyes on that.
Just look at Universo Parallelo, the second biggest, of course it has a minimal/tech stage.

You should leave the toxic issues alone.
This is MUSIC we are talking about, if there is some pleople there who are high on some drug, what does that got to do with the artist on stage?
If you dont like it , go for a walk, go to the bar, have a swin in the water, that's what i do when i hear classic full-on or too fast music.
One thing I'm not going to do though, is stand there complaining to the crowd or to the DJ, that is there to play HIS music.
That's called intolerance, and i've seen that happen on BOOM2004, when some "psy-heads" as you called them, decided to throw rocks and mud to the DJ who was playing maybe a little slower for their special taste.
Clearly remember someone from the stage saying: "fckn goa nazis"
Later met another person who saw that too and was working there, and said that never seen nothing like that in a festivals.
that's how "tolerant" and PLUR some "psy-heads" can get.
Just imagine if everyone that liked electro and progressive and minimal would do to the stage on a full-on act, at 4:00 am in the morning, and throw rocks at the artist? Do you catch my drift? |

You're right..
,,electro/minimal has nthg to do with psychedelic trance.
And this is not a matter of taste. It's a fact !
At BOOM06 when i just woke up everytime i was
confused because of the sound they were playing in the late afternoon.
I 'm not used to take my breakfast while listening to minimal house music...
OK ,quit this.
There's no intolerance in telling people to have a look at the mass of Festivals, THEIR
favorite music is played at. This means PROG/electro/minimal sound.
..during 2 or 3 days. So what do you want more ?????????????????
Vocal house stuff doesn't fit to a discription of psychedelic trance !!!!!
If someone thinks like that we should also talk about DNB/IDM/...
